Woot, another victory. That makes 6 straight for the Indians. They've won every series except one, where they were swept by the Yankees. Even with that blemish, they have the second best winning percentage in the league with a 13-7 record.

With yesterday's win, the Indians are now 11-1 when leading after 6 innings. Pretty impressive.

They just need to get their act together on the road. Abysmal 15-15.

The Tribe's win tonight puts them a game and a half ahead of Detroit for the division lead. Yay.

It was also Sabathia's 12 win, most in MLB. He's gotten so much better, and I'd say he's finally the ace everyone expected him to be.

Cleveland wins its fourth straight today. Looks like they might have finally broken out of their funk. Of course, this IS against Tampa Bay. The true test will be Tuesday when they start their series with Detroit.

Crappy teams like the Devil Rays are for boosting confidence and breaking slumps. Alas, we didn't manage to do it against the Nats (how we lost 2 of 3 to them....)

Looks like the Indians have righted the ship again. They've won 11 of 14, including 6 in a row now. 4.5 game lead going into the final month is good (assuming it stays the same after tomorrow), but not by any means insurmountable. Hopefully they can continue their better play and take it right into the playoffs. Their pitching has been the 3rd best of all teams since the All-Star break (Toronto first, Boston second), and their hitting is starting to come around again. In the playoffs, it's pitching that counts, so hopefully this is a good sign of things to come.

On a night where Boston rookie Buchholz threw a no-hitter, Paul Byrd had some magic of his own, throwing a 4-hit shutout as the Indians roll to their 8th straight victory, 7-0 over the White Sox. :thumbsup:

I was at this game yesterday. When the bases were juiced in the 8th the crowd was electric. What a comeback.
