Harrison (GS) had that open three for a possible win, but missed it. D@MNIT.

EDIT: Correction, that was Jackson.

That was Jackson. Shame, but at least GS kept up that huge tempo. Honestly, I'd be surprised to see the Jazz keep up with it. We'll find out Wednesday.

Yeah, the Jazz Warriors game was up for grabs. Should be an even series.

At least Golden State played for the win there at the end. Have to respect that.

Chicago looks horrible. They are simply outsized in every position and with so many outside scorers they stretch the court too much for Chicago to cover. They can't guard the Detroit shooters and on the defensive end, they can't outmuscle/elevate enough to make plays on the offensive end.

I hope they at least win one in Chicago so that it's not a 4 and out

The Golden State/Utah matchup is as I predicted, a good one. Utah should be able to outmuslce GS. Plus with Williams at the point they'll be able to run the court with them in transition.

Since my Raps got ousted, I find myself cheering for the Warriors - the only team with fans louder than us

Suns vs Warriors WCF would be just insane.

The GSW/Jazz series will be interesting. The Warriors are a pretty bad road team, but have done decently against the Mavs and the Jazz. They are an amazing home team. If the Jazz beat them at home, the series will probably go to Utah. If they can't the Warriors will probably win the series.

Which ever team wins this series is going to get killed my the Spurs or Suns.

someone wrote recently that the some Piston's front office people were glad they drew Chicago instead of Miami. reason being that chicago was getting lots of praise as an up and coming team after demolishing the Heat, and that really focused the pistons players. they've got a bad tendency to lose focus on opponents they perceive as inferior. rasheed always says that he "gets up" for the big games against the top NBA teams.

the bulls have looked extremely inexperienced and shell shocked, especially after looking so poised versus the Heat. home court will be good for the Bulls, but i haven't seen anything positive for the bulls in teh past two games, except their full court press towards the end of game 2 and tyrus thomas getting some garbage time points.

i'm almost thinking this will end in 5.

Yeah, I can second that... Spurs and Suns are in a class of their own. Neither Utah or GS are of the same quality. With that said... GS seem to be playing above themselves. If they make it past Utah... they can make the series interesting.

I don't think Utah can make a fun to watch series with San Antonio or Phoenix.

Excellent game by the Suns tonight. Seriously, can anyone doubt that Nash should be the MVP again? What an amazing player. Kurt Thomas played some ridiculous D on TD, and TD still had a decent game...just the nature of the beast I guess. I think that Game 2 is the most important game of the series (as in it was a MUST-win for the Suns), with this confidence the Suns *should* be able to steal a game in San Antonio and take back home court.

Cavaliers 2-0 over the Nets. They aren't getting the media attention they got last playoffs, but they're quietly winning.

Is LeBron traveling every other time he gets the ball?

Detroit should take either team in 4 or 5 games. They learned their lesson last year.

warriors lost a game they could have easily won cause they could not hit their free throws.

Fisher is so clutch. Anyways, Warriors only need to win one one the road, and they got Jazz on the ropes both games, so it's not hopeless by any means.

This game will come back to haunt the Warriors. They had the game won. Missing 3/4 crucial free throws at the end is just inexcusable.

GS has the talent, but the Jazz just plays smarter ball. GS makes too many mistakes.

I find it amusing that most of the posts here think GS only needs to win one at Utah and the series is theirs. Yes, GS played 2 close games in Utah but that's not to say that if Utah steals one in GS, which is a distinct possibility if these two games were any indication, that the series could easily go 4-1 or at most 4-2 for Utah.

IMHO, these 2 games, along with a 3-1 series win over the Suns this season shows that the Jazz can run with any of the up tempo teams in the league. As a matter of fact, I think it's the Houston's and San Antonio's of the world that really give Utah grief. For some reason, those teams can really punish Utah. Let's not forget that Utah was the 7th highest scoring team in the league (granted, GS was #2) while still maintaining the 17th best 'D' (GS was dead last) points wise. Shooting percentage wise, Utah was 3rd while GS was 11th.

Generally, I think Utah can run with GS. They may not be able to jack up the 3 as well, but Utah's other advantages make up for it including rebounding and FT % (74% vs. 71% for GS). Rebounding wise, the Jazz just punished GS again tonight, which is really IMO the only thing that kept them in the game since they were giving the ball away like it was radioactive.

Of course, stats don't tell all of the story. You have to still play the game, but it's not like this is the Utah Jazz of old, where every play is the pick n roll. Tonight's game I think demonstrated that quite well. Although they may start with that, it's very much like the triangle offense in that they have many options: 1) the pick man doing the roll 2) the curl coming off of the baseline 3) the drive and kick out from the point guard or 4) the scissor play flaring out to the 3 pt line.

Utah has just as much heart as GS, although maybe not as well publicized. Fisher was clutch tonight and in the post game interview on TNT, it looked like he almost broke down and cried talking about his daughter. That's gutsy dealing with a child with cancer, surgery, and then hitting a big 3 in OT.

Yes, I'm a Utah fan, and in any other situation, I'd be rooting for GS. I'm a big Nellie fan and loved Mullins when it was Run TMC. I'm glad they beat Dallas, but my heart here says Utah wins the series. I can only pray the Suns make it to the WC Finals, as I think the Spurs will pound us like we're in prison.

Warriors gave both game 1 and 2 to the Jazz.

I knew the game was over once it went to overtime. I went to make dinner. You can't give up a game like that when you can end it with some free throws. No way you can come back with the fire to win the game in OT.

In any case.. both game 1 and game 2 were fun to watch.
