Wow, Deron Williams is a man child. I can't believe the Hawks passed up on him (and Chris Paul) when they could have certainly used a PG.

As I said above, the Jazz are going to go out just like the Warriors did against them. They'll lose games 1 and 2 on the road, win a big game at home, then lose game 4 at home, and then game 5 in SA.

Any Illini fans here?

I saw a lot of Deron Williams when he was at Illinois, especially the year he took them to the final four and never thought he was this good, especially to dominate games against this level of competition. Imo he had quick instincts but was overweight in college and didn't play quite so quick, or only in spurts. He no doubt was a mental rock tho. Nothing fazed him and he never quit on a game or took desperation shots, and led some amazing comebacks.

On another note, Bill Self got a bad rap when he split Illinois for Kansas, and Bruce Weber got credit for taking the Illini to the final four, but Deron Williams, Luther Head, and Dee Brown (and Roger Powell and James Augustine?) were Self's recruits.

I played against Deron Williams a summer league when I was in HS. He was deceivingly quick and strong as hell but while a very good player I never thought he'd be one of the best PGs in the game. Man his game has improved leaps and bounds tremendously since then.

omg, how did Deron William stayed under the radar for so long? Being overshadowed by already-underrated Boozer?

anyway, I just watched the highlights on NBA.com, that guy is AMAZING!

That must be very cool to see him progress all the way to this level since high school. To see him pick apart the Spurs defense and chew up their veteran guard defenders is jaw-dropping....and poor jacque vaughn.

Great closeout by Lebron. Let's see if he can keep it up. I hope he keeps checking his voicemail for all his buddies that are trying to beat into him to stay aggressive.

Did you play against Bracey Wright too? Who seemed to be the best of the two at that time?

Bracey Wright played on a different summer league team. Deron played for the Ft. Worth Lions, and Wright played for Team Texas. I saw Bracey play in HS though. All he did was shoot 3's.

It's embarassing that someone even had to tell him to be aggressive- I think that was point out very well by Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller last night with their "someone called me and told me to be aggressive" comments.

Cleveland played a good game but I don't eally think they can really feel that good about it. Detroit played right with them until the last 3 minutes of the game without their 2 leading scorers. I don't see Rip having another bad game like that. I still think Det will win in 5.

The Pistons have played no where near 100% to their potential that we have seem them play to before.

Paul Millsap has potential to be a solid player, but he cries for fouls when he goes up with the force of a wet noodle sometimes.

Most rediculous disparity in free throw attempts for a quarter I think I've ever seen...

...even without the T's

deja vu. this series is just like warriors vs jazz.

except jazz are playing like the warriors. blew out the other team in game 3. lost their cool in game 4. started fouling for no reason.

Ridiculous too. It's hard to get to the line when Carlos "Bruiser" shoots fadeaway jumpers every time he gets the ball.

Kirilenko deserves the award for the former all-star who has fallen off the planet.

Also, when will the Jazz learn to guard and block out Oberto?
