Coming from a Sharks fan, I agree that it was unintentional. Stuff like this happens. It wasn't Hartnell or Cheechoo's fault.

I just explained that there was no time for him to change the direction that his knee was heading. Get that through your thick skull would ya?

I don't know for sure if the hit was intentional / unintentional, I know the hit looked dirty to me and it definitely did a lot of damage. It doesn't help the "it wasn't dirty" case that he also knocked out a tooth with an elbow....

And BTW Unheard : It's not just sharks' fans saying that it was dirty.

I love this magic elbow that I can't see in any replay....

Also I addressed the fact that "most" people agree it wasn't dirty, but most of the suspension/dirty player calls are coming from the Sharks bench.

Take a good look @ it, and watch the elbow that passes behind Cheechoo's head. Even if I'm wrong on this, it still happened because of Cheechoo's last minute change of direction trying to avoid the check.

In the end, even I will admit that I see it through Pred colored glasses, and people on the outside have preexisting bias' going both ways. So it's really who you like more that you side with. I think the call on the ice was sufficient, the ejection was uncalled for, and that we should all move on and enjoy the rest of the series.

Did anyone else see the reason why Sopel didn't play? I read this on Yahoo sports.

Vancouver D Brent Sopel didn't play after hurting his back trying to pick up a cracker from the floor Tuesday, coach Alain Vigneault said. Rory Fitzpatrick took his place.
