The Wild offense decided to show up. I guess the Rangers and Red Wings are the only teams left with a chance to sweep now.

Edit: Red Wings lost, so Rangers are the only team that can sweep in the first round.

yeah, it made me sick to watch ANY of the games. they are just playing so piss poorly...very frustrating. they lose the puck every time they move into the sen's zone!

I really have no idea what Hartley was thinking putting Lehtonen back in there. He was nervous in game 1, and in game 3 he gave up a goal in 32 seconds! No poise for the playoffs yet.

game 2 - new goalie did well
game 3.... hrmm.. who do i pick...

I don't know, I understand it was a calculated risk since lehtonen is their 'franchise' guy, high draft pick, etcetc, but he wasn't steady for game 1 and hedberg was. Hartley shoulda rode his hot hand.

edit - insert obligatory "yea, everything is easy in retrospect, you're not a coach/gm/hockey player, etcetc"

An interesting side note: Minnesota has never lost a playoff series in which they've been down 3 games to 1.

Yes, they do. The entire team has looked flat, Brodeur hasn't been himself, and the Lecavalier-St. Louis tandem has been shredding them. Personally I want to see the Devils out of the playoffs, but not before they wear down the Lightning

I missed the press conference. What is the picture they were talking about?

I don't even remember the specific players involved. The coach was getting questioned about his take on an incident and finally got ticked off and said 'You must work for the Nashville Predators'. The guy responded that he works for the Nashville media and has the Preds version of the story but wanted his. The guy went on and on real childish like 'You should not even be in this press conference' yada yada.

At this point, he says he has a picture showing that someone elbowed someone and knocked out a tooth. He then says 'Do you want me to show you?', goes to his office, comes out empty handed and says 'Uhh the printer is not working.'

Give me a break.

The printer was not working... and they were in the HP Pavilion... the ironing is delicious.

I was in the middle of responding to this when they gave up the second goal. Brodeur is making some great saves that he shouldn't have to make, especially the two big short-handed chances.
