I don't know why you say that. Devils looked overmatched most of the night and are real lucky to have pulled out that win.

Only reason TB even made it to OT was Holmquist.

NJ outplayed TB for a lot of the night, especially in the third period, & OT.

NJ is a far deeper team, & by giving them back home ice advantage not to mention momentum, i don't see things looking good for the Lightning

I do hope i'm wrong, since i hate the Devils [& the boring style of play they helped invent], but i'll be impressed if the Lightning can find a way to win this.

They needed a win tonight to win this series IMO...

They do rely heavily on Lecavalier and St. Louis... but that has worked pretty well so far. Those guys scare me. :Q As a Devils fan, this series still has me worried. I'll be relieved if they win the next one at home.

What an exciting series though... no big leads, 3 one goal games and one more that was pretty close to being a one goal game.

Can't wait until Friday.

Supposedly the Panthers wanted Antoine Vermette in exchange for Gary Roberts. Good decision from the Sens to keep him. If he played on the first two lines, he could get a lot more points but he is very useful to the club right now and only 24yo.

BTW, we suck. Our goalie coming off an injury + playing a team with a hot goalie / inability to win in the tank = another playoff series loss. There is probably an exponential in there somewhere.

ehh, I don't think you can really blame Forsberg. Granted he's taken a couple stupid penalties (then again, it's pretty insignificant to the amount of penalties the preds take all together) but it seems like he's the -only- skater trying out there sometimes. Vokoun has been standing tall, but he can't score.

Anyway, All i can say is I love playoff hockey, going home and having so many exciting games on it's great. Just great.

No, not quite. I'm just saying, unclearly I see, that the Islanders played like losers if they let themselves down after that no goal. I would think they'd be jacked up for 2 reasons. One, they just nearly scored a crucial goal. They should attack while the attacking's good. Second, I would think they would be super-aggressive to win this game just to shove it in the refs face, since I would assume they would think they were screwed. But that didn't happen.

Speaking of the goal, at first, I agreed with Islander fans. It did seem like they got screwed. They didn't even get the benefit of a review, due to the rulebook. They didn't get screwed by the ref, he did exactly what he was supposed to do.

However, I got a close-up view from the "Islelights" on the Islanders' website. At the 2:12-2:13 mark of the video, immediately after Satan's body has moved to the right and the view of the puck is back, you can quite distinctly see Miller's pads enclosing in on it, and you can see that it appears to be in the crease. Looking at the overhead view of this, based on Miller's positioning at the time, it is quite clear that the puck isn't close to crossing the line. So, Miller made the save, and THEN was shoved into the net. This is where rule 69.6 comes into play. The goal is disallowed because it crossed the line after Miller was interfered with. The Islanders SHOULD have gotten a penalty on the play, in addition to the disallowed goal.

Of course, even with that, I'd still be pissed as an Islanders fan. As a Buffalo fan, I certainly know what it feels like to get screwed in hockey.

We played very disciplined, physical hockey and that paid off.

BTW, Mcreary blew quite a few calls, just like he did in the third period of our last game in 2003 when we lost to New Jersey. Hope we won't see him again.:|
