Go Rangers!!!!!!

Sabres have sucked for the whole 3rd period. They're lucky the Rangers didn't get a short handed goal ... twice!
Buffalo out hustled the rangers the whole game.

If buffalo plays how they should, they should win.
I really don't care to argue.

Go sabres.!!

OK.

The same type of shot the rangers won in OT in the last OT game.

I shaved off 2 years and 3 of my finger nails for that game.

A shot from the point that went in off the post is not comparable to a lucky shot from the point through the 5 hole that wasn't even deflected. I was surprised that it wasn't tipped when they showed the replay. With the skill of goalies these days, shots like that never go in anymore. Sabres got lucky. Not saying this as a fan of either team. It's simply fact.

Bad night for me, first Rangers, then Wilkes-Barre Penguins lose in 2OT after leading 3-0 over Hershey.

Sorry, the shot wasn't lucky. The shot went right through all defenders and into the 5 hole. The shot was directly comparable (mabey) to the OT shot from the point in game three (from Rozsival). You're comparing a screen shot through traffic, off the post, from the point from Rozsival who said, and I quote (from game three):

"Everybody was really tired, I guess," Rozsival said after logging a game-high, 38 minutes, 16 seconds. "I was just focusing on hitting the puck, and I was lucky enough that I had a lucky shot."

...to a shot from afinagenonv who was again from the point, hardly screened and went directly into the net. Riiiiight.

To quote Renney from game five (tonight):
"It's a tough loss, plain and simple," coach Tom Renney said. "We weren't close to being the better team on the ice tonight. It was close for one reason, and that was our goaltender."

Yea, the Sabres were "lucky" alright, lucky they didn't blow out the rangers 5-1 and get their egos inflated for game 6. God love lundqvist, he kept his boys in this one.

Buffalo outplayed the rangers in just about all aspects of the game (as they should) and took a hard fought win. The only thing the Rangers beat the Sabres in was penalty minutes, in which they took 2 less. Beyond that they got beat in numbers and heart. But as a hockey fan you should know that.

Since you're comparing Dougie to Drury, it would help if you well, knew what you were talking about. Yes Dougie was a great hockey player with fantastic heart, but in the long run he will never be as good as Drury. I love dougie, he played for the Sabres, Leafs, Blues, Blackhawks, Flames and the Devils (apparently he wasn't the valueable, eh? ) . He played hard and always had his head in the game, but so does Drury. Though Drury has more accolades than Gilmour, will gain more through this professional career and will end up the vastly better player, this is fact. I will always have a place in my heart for Gilmour, but Drury is clearly a better player, teammate and sportsman.

In the end you don't have to be a fan of either team to acknowlege that Buffalo was the better team this game, and is overall the better team.

lmao, I was talking to a friend this morning who tivo'd the Sabres game... the time he set ran out with 16 seconds left in the game. He figured the Sabres had lost and never checked back. Go Sabres!

The Sharks are going to start trying to get physical, just like Calgary. I hope they don't get too stupid over the next ten minutes.

LETS GO RED WINGS!

Wow, very solid win for the Senators!

They take the game 3-2, & the series 4-1.

I picked them to beat the Devils, but i never expected this kind of dominance.

I'm gonna go ahead & say that right now, they're playing the best of all the teams in the East, & either Buffalo or New York is gonna be in for a difficult series.

Great job Sens!

Sharks haven't really shown up all playoffs. Its too bad. They are an on off sorta team. Either offense or defense but not both at the same time.

I am suprised Toskala hasn't had some play time. Nabokov has been ok but has not been everything they needed.

The opposition has scouted the sharks well. A strong forecheck while sharks are approaching and moving through the neutral zone totally cripples the sharks. The sharks weakness is that they are a poor puck-handling and passing team.

The analogy is that in basketball some teams cannot handle a full court press. Sharks are that team.

This also explains the sharks impotence on the power play. The sharks fail to even set up because dump and chase should not be how you establish your powerplay.

An aggressive swarming defense is something the sharks are incapable of handling. Sharks accel when teams "respect" them and try to sit back and play conservative defense.

Oh well... maybe the sharks will abandon the idea of "getting the puck deep" 100% of the time and try to create some plays.

You have to be 100% rock solid and make no mistakes if you try to play the conservative game the sharks have tried up till now. Unfortunately, the sharks history dictates that they do give up bonehead plays to the opposition.

If sharks can open the game up in game 6 they have a chance... if they sit on their butts and play dump and chase all game they will loose. There is no passion in a strictly conservative game approach.

I wonder if being short on defensemen will cost them in the long run.

Wow, what a horrible penalty call there. Straka should have been called for diving, but it's tied 2-2 after the Rangers get a PP goal.

How about the awful call on Callahan, he got elbowed in the head and got called for holding? ... There's been calls on both sides that were unfair, thats just the way it goes!

Callahan wasn't elbowed in the head, he literally skated into it. Then he was bracing himself as he fell, but brought Kotalik (I think that's who it was) down with him. That was 100% legitimate call.

It all has to do with perspective If it had been the other way around and a play like that caused the Rangers to tie it 3-3, instead of it being 4-2, you or another Buffalo fan would be crying foul

Honestly, there's been unfair calls on both sides. Buffalo has gotten away with some too where it should have been a penalty and the refs didn't call it, and the Rangers too. No sport is perfect in making calls ... Football might be the only sport where the coaches at least have a recourse to challenge the call.

You're right, I'd call foul, because Callahan wasn't elbowed.
