Pronger to face disciplinary hearing

Good. What he did last night was total bush-league. Down 4-0 he decides it's a good time to board someone and smash their head into the boards. I hope he gets at least one game for that.

We'll find out in a little while if you are right to laugh. I can see this going either way. I am obvioulsy hoping for a suspension.

Pronger's hit looked a lot worse than Niedermeyer's - I'm surprised Nieds got a penalty on that at all, actually. Good thing the league took action on Pronger though - that hit was way to high.

Yeah, I posted this then read the writeup. Then forgot I posted this. Thanks for the clarification mpitts.

Anyway, the Pronger suspension is a surprise to me. But not unwarranted. And all Wings fans are a little sensitive about hits like that (Drapes injury ring a bell?).

I think the last thing we really need is more complaining about officiating. It's clearly not been the greatest this season with some confusing calls, some calls that shoulda been called missed, and suspensions handed out that were/weren't deserved.

Alfie isn't suspended, and there isn't anything the NHL will do so no point complaining. Besides until last night the sabres (save Ryan Miller) haven't showed up. Hopefully they will continue to do so and become the fourth team in pro sports to come back from 3-0. That'd be HAWT!

lol, good luck with that. Buffalo was woefully outplayed, except for that first period. If they can pull off a game where they work as hard as they did that first period, they might come back, the other two Ottawa was in control almost the entire time.

Woefully outplayed? I don't know about that. Stronger team yes, but no one was woefully outplayed last night.

Ok, maybe woefully outplayed was a little harsh. They didn't play like a team that was going to attempt the near-impossible comeback though. (except in the first period)

Giggy with the huge night and the Ducks tie it up without Pronger in the lineup!!

May said it best on Off the Record last night... when a big player is out of the lineup, the team rallies around it and usually plays better because of it!

That series should go 7 for sure!

I wish I didn't have to wait until tomorrow to watch Buffalo and Ottawa again though! Oh well... I have a lot to do outside tonight anyway!!
