It is not a major secret that I'm not a huge hockey fan ... but growing up in the glory days in Edmonton I did watch some. Now that I live on the West Coast, I try to somewhat keep up with the Oilers so I can trash-talk my co-workers who are Canucks crazy. I haven't ready a newspaper, nor watched a hockey highlight show in a long time.

Are the Oil going to make the playoffs this year?

Also I'm gonna be pissed if wings have to play pred's for the millionth time. We need some variety in the first round.

tough to say at this point. It's still too close in the West. They are on a decent run right now, and showing that they might belong in the top 8 after all. Their goaltending has been keeping them in games.

I tried the Lidstrom curve coming from a Forsberg curve and couldn't get used to it at all. Now I use a Naslund Nike/Bauer curve and it seems to suit me well.

no consistency from the Oilers offence this year... too bad, Roli was having an MVP season for them. maybe Roli will sign at a powerhouse like Detroit. The Oilers will probably try to extend him at least one year for $4 mil or so though. i don't think Roli is the issue..... people talk about Oilers hockey being fast and high-scoring, but when is the last time they had a guy even in the top 20 in league scoring? it's weak... maybe MacT should go... although Katz has said that he will remain... also correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the Oilers had outshot an opponent until last night. 0_0 also... .500 at home? PUKE. Rexall used to be a tough place for teams to play... wtf....

good luck to the playoff teams.... in the East I'm a closet Caps fan.... as far as the West I'd like to see a Northwest team go far, either the Flamers or the Nucks.... :beer:

Back in the day........ when I first started playing hockey....... I used to have a Jyrki Lumme style stick......... no curve at all

I use a Modano blade at the moment but I still prefer my old Sundin blade.

So...Buffalo needs to win their last three games, the Rangers need to lose both of their games in regulation to Philadelphia, and Florida has to lose in regulation to either Atlanta or Washington, and then Buffalo will make the playoffs!
