Yeah man, Brodeur and Ward outplayed everyone on the ice. I think Ward made the more flashy saves, but Brodeur was just always in the right place at the right time, and both he and the rest of the Devils did an amazing job of taking care of the rebounds in front of the net.

On a simple race to an icing call he lost and just decided to spin around and whale Jurcina in the head with the butt-end of his stick. He later on got Pothier with the stick blade to the face without even being provoked. The guy wasn't even trying to help his team... he actually almost cost them in a game they were already winning.

In other games he's raked back Erskine's head getting to another player along the boards, and straight-up punched Varlamov in the head as he skated away from a dead play.

How is this guy not suspended yet?

I'm with you on this. I'm sitting in my chair still fuming an hour and a half after the game was over. I cannot believe that the "leaders" of the team (Thornton and Marleau) were such no shows in this game. Nabokov has proven that he's a soft goalie also. When the Sharks started losing in the regular season, McLellan kept saying that this was all a part of the "process" and how they were mentally preparing for the games that really count...the playoffs. Now we have a team that can get bounced in game 5 of the first round. I know this team has had streaks where they have won 3 in a row but I just don't see this team with this mentality pulling this off. I hope they prove me wrong.

Eh, not really. Some Hawks fan came in and made a thread in the Sharks forums saying how he "feels sorry for us" but that's about it.

I liked that the Caps came out and got things done tonight. I'm hoping the Sharks do the same on Saturday. I have a feeling they will but they'll drop in game 6 on Monday.
