Malkin awakes... and the pens finally come out and start hitting...
Except for the dinky goal by ovy 2 minutes in... the pens pretty much dominated the game.
i hope this carries into game 4 & 5.

C'mon no Red Wings fans out here ?
I'm hoping the Wings can get their offense going or they are sunk. I didn't see the game last night but from what I have read/heard, they didn't deserve to win. And I think not playing another OT game will help them in the long run.
I am disappointed that two of the best teams are meeting this early though. Would have been a great 3rd round leading to the finals.

Wings give up an early. Things like that make wonder about this team. They gave up a goal just like that on game 3 as well... easy break away.
Are the Ducks physically bigger team, or it just seems to me ? T. hose guys look bigger than Detroit

I think the ducks are billed as the bigger more physical team. The Wings always seem to be outmatched in that department but it usually plays little to no role in the outcome of the series.
Glad I'll get to watch the game this weekend. Haven't had time or energy to stay up late enough to watch the west coast games.

Too bad the only remaining similarities are the team names. Team history means jack. You know it's coming... IF the Caps beat the Pens, all the Pens fans will do is point to their storied history and how they've got X banners. Seriously... who gives a fvck about the past right now? Same with the Yankees. Enjoy your past while the other team moves on.
This wasn't directed directly at you, but any Pens fans who like to bring up history in an argument of who's the better team. We'll see who's better as long as they let them play this out, and then we do it again next year.
God I'm sick of all the arguing back and forth between sports fans. Venting.
