Verizon FIOS says "4th Quarter - maybe October" for potential NHL Center Ice package availability. WTF... I signed up with them because they said they'd have it by now. I may have to do the online center ice thing or go nhltorrents of uk.

You can always by a winter home in Canada and get some good old CBC NHL hockey action

Well we did like Vancouver a lot... it was only a week though - not sure if we could get used to the dreary rain. Much like Seattle, no?

Nah....... I think they get more rain (we are slightly shielded by Vancouver Island).

Also we know how to drive in snow

But we also have a large homeless population because of the mild weather in winter and we have probably the highest real estate costs in Canada.

Maybe you can buy a place in Point Roberts Washington........ probably still get the CBC

Those ice girls are a huge distraction during gametime... you can't help but look. You know the players are itching to comment to each other too.

Also I remember seeing them in Nassau Coliseum when some visiting goalie wouldn't budge from his crease during commercial break when the girls were sweeping the ice shavings from around the net. Goalies like the shavings around the crease of course so it was pretty comical seeing how he basically blocked them from doing it.

BTW, more tryouts.

HSBC Arena (Buf) - I think 3 games up there, I remember one huge win against the Laffs.
Wachovia Center (Phi) - Went to a PHI - BUF game last year, where BUF scored with ~5 seconds left to send it to OT after an iffy icing call against PHI. BUF won in a shootout.
Verizon Center (Was) - Been to three of the last four BUF - WAS games here (I live in Northern VA) as well as a few other Caps games.
RBC Center (Car) - Went to CAR - BUF this past year (a loss ) and went to game 7 of the 2006 ECF.


I'll say it again: Better watch out for Buffalo this year.

Come to think of it, the home team has won almost every professional sports game I've ever been to.
