EDIT: my take on the game. I felt that the Wings could score any time they wanted to. They wanted to play suffocating defense which kinda constrains them. They get a lot of shots on net (and sometimes they go in), but when they want to score and need to score they turn it up physically which leads to goals. This is a two edged sword though because once in a while it gives the other team an odd man break not that it happened against the Hawks.

Did Kane or Toews play today?


If the Hawks think that mucking it up after whistles is the way to intimidate the Wings they have another thing coming. There is a point in time when you're wrestling with a pig in the mud you come to realize the pig is enjoying it.

Yeah.. I definitely get hyped up and yell a lot.

My wife walked in when Frazen scored yesterday and I jumped out of my seat and celebrated. She gave me the "I remember why I leave you alone to watch these games" look.

Enjoy. Since moving to NC in '99 we've been fortunate to attend a good number of playoff games. Nothing better except for the hearing loss. I'm sure Mellon will be loud (but not RBC Center loud HEHE).

I'd like to see Detroit vs Canes match - which one wins I'm not really concerned about as Edmonton failed once again..

im bummed...i work tonight so ill miss most of the game, and i work wednesday and ill miss that one entirely :-/

kinda surprised a penalty wasnt called on cook for the knee on knee hit on cole... , but it didnt look as bad as gonchars either so...

I love having Fleury in goal but I wish he would let his defesemen play defense and stop leaving his crease. The only time he doesn't make me nervous coming out to play a puck is on the Pens PP.

Who the hell would have thought Cleary would be the Wings go-to guy for scoring the last couple games? He had a few good chances to get the hat trick too.

Wings came out pretty slow at the begining of the game though. Ramped it up as the game progressed. I expect Chicago to come at them pretty hard tonight. Should be a good game.

Lol, I still think the all time greatest was when one of the radio station morning shows (was either WRIF or 89X) called Patrick Roy's hotel room at 4:00 AM during the 1997 or 98 Playoffs and told him he had to go outside, the building was on fire.

The recording of Roy going apeshit and bitching out the "front desk" was hilarious.
