I wonder what kind of ice Pittsburgh will have. Surprisingly, the ice in Detroit looked pretty shitty. It wasn't hot or humid in Detroit either. Sabotka kinda let me down.

I wonder if refs can have their pay docked for missing such an obvious penalty(referring to the non-call too many men on the ice)

Both teams look good. Seems to be a lot less of the obstruction on both ends, which might explain the score. Wings passing has pretty much sucked thus far. And I'm pretty disappointed with their effort to loose pucks. Looks like they are going about 80% of the way and expecting Pittsburgh to back off. Good way to lose the game.

And Cleary needs a punch in the face. Seems every time he goes off for a penalty the other team scores.

I like the Pens PK. They do what the Wings used to do, make the other team look like they aren't on the PP.

I'm not getting a warm fuzzy here. Even though the 2nd was all Wings I have a feeling the next goal is going to be Pittsburgh.

I think Pittsburgh is going to take this one. That uncalled too many men on the ice did turn out to be a big non-call. If they would have made the call, the Wings would have been on the PP and not Pittsburgh early on.

Refs had to have been paid off - where were all the calls against the Pens? Hell - even the announcers were commenting on too many men, illegal high sticking, etc.

Wings had a multitude of issues go wrong on them tonight, most of which resulting from poor defensive zone clearing, giveaways, and sloppy passing; all of which worked in favor of the Pen's keeping us trapped in our own zone.
I'm surprised about the Ref calls tonight, due to the fact Gary Bettman was at the game; but then again I'm not surprised because it has been this way throughout the entire series, its just we were on the opposite end this time. You cannot blame this entire game on just one call as both sides got away with plenty tonight.

Anyway, if anyone expected the Pen's or Wing's (before games played) to be swept are idiots because it was a damned pipe dream.

I still got Wings in 5 though.

I saw one bad non-call on Pittsburg 6 skaters on the ice. I HIGHLY doubt that was a conspiracy though, as if it was, thats about the worst place in the world to have a non-call, no room for judgement its black and white. That was just a case of the ref's missing one. Aside from that, I thought the reffing was pretty fair. Pittsburg out skated and out played Detroit most of the game and thats why they won. The power plays did help quite a bit though.

I've been watching crosby closer when he doesn't have the puck and I have to agree with a previous poster. He just gets freaking mugged anytime he skated into the offensive zone. He won't have the puck but he'll have someone right on top of him, pushing/holding/impeding progress. The wings do a good job of doing this under the radar, but it is def. occurring.

Meh, good jon Pens, I guess, lol The intensity was there, and they needed that.

I wont get into the bad officiating, it was kinda of expected, home team down 2-0, of course the NHL will hand it to them. If you think the 6 man on the ice call was it.. you are wearing blinders!

I better not hear another officiating complaint out of any pens fans after last night.
