I wont get into the bad officiating, it was kinda of expected, home team down 2-0, of course the NHL will hand it to them. If you think the 6 man on the ice call was it.. you are wearing blinders!

I better not hear another officiating complaint out of any pens fans after last night.

Seriously, short of the 6 man non-call there was really nothing spectacular that they missed. The only complaint we should hear is about how bad it has been, for both teams. Penguins won because:

-Pens pressured the Wings when they had the puck, wings didn't apply as much pressure.
-Pens jumped on the loose pucks, Wings expected them to back off once they were almost to the puck.
-Fleury played a better game than Osgood.
-Wings PK is atrocious in the playoffs.
-Wings passing was horrible (leading to a ton of give a ways, even when the Pens weren't pressuring them.
-Wings were trying for a lot of long ice passes that weren't connecting, which amazed me considering they were having trouble with the short ice passes.

The second period was a joke. Was Pittsburgh even on the ice? That said, they managed to come out of it clean and I think that really shifted the momentum their way.

I guess if you out shoot the other team you'll lose. The pens I felt played better the first 2 games than they did last night. Hope the pens can take game 4 and take it back to detriot tied up.

Their PK and defensive coverage is fine when they're aggressive, it's when they play that passive, we going to back skate and envelope the other team style that they get in trouble.

Remember the 5-3's they killed off against Anaheim? Talk about in your face defense.

Overall game three is the home team's best chance to win if they're down 0-2.

Put in Dats and Drapes, pull out Leino and Abdelkater and I think Detroit wins game 4.

I'm not denying they can play like that, but based on their percentage, they need to do it more often. Two PKs in a game that they never made it out of their zone.

I agree that Leino needs to come out, but I think Abdelkater is holding his own. Reports are saying Datsyuk could come back by Thursday. I am thinking his injury is more than just a foot injury caused by a puck. Those guys are usually back playing as soon as they can put a skate on.

Do we have anyone to replace Ericsson? As far as I can tell he has been the worst player on the Wings this whole series. Too many turnovers in front of Osgood and too many guys skating right by him.

Home ice advantage. Last night you saw what happens when you get a timing advantage on the face off and when Detroit doesn't get the second change.

For Pitt to win the cup, they need to dominate Thursday night. I'm talking blowout. Then they need to take that momentum to Detroit and simply win Game 5. The chances of this happening though .... 5%.

Pitt needs to win away and this is not going to be an easy task for them.

They've been playing more of that passive PK all season. I can't figure out why.

I would have said Maltby, but what ever he's doing to Crosby, it's working.

Detroit fans have to figure out this isn't 1997. Matby's and Draper's best hockey is behind them. It's hard for me too, but I'd try Drapes just for faceoffs.

Ericsson's replacement would Lilja or Meech. Against Anaheim he got rid of the puck quickly because he had to. Against Chicago he had more time to make the perfect play. He has to figure out that any play now is better than the perfect play latter.

Hossa needs to trust his line mates. Give up the puck and you'll get it back.

As much as i like Abdelkater, his barely 8 minutes of play time and being 1 for 7 in draws means he is definitly the first guy that get's benched for Draper. The key area is winning face offs and Draper is much better at this than Abdelkater, it allows the Wings to play their puck possesion game.

Very good point about face offs you and Squisher made. Something that is easy to overlook, but very important. A big contributor to the game three loss.

Wow refs are letting both teams get away with some serious murder. interference from both sides, slashing, hooking, tripping....

Then Ericcson gets called for a weak high stick...wow...good sell there by the pens player

This is without a question the worst officiating I have ever seen in the NHL. They should have asked Bettman at intermission what he thought of the refs.

Horrible period by the Wings. Why the fuck are you trying the fancy shit when you're having trouble completing a simple pass? And does Hossa think he's a one man show? Good lord man, pass for once. You would think Crosby and Malkin were Wings they way we are giving them the puck seemingly any time they come near us.

Pittsburgh is playing a good aggressive game while the Wings sit back. If they keep waiting for Pittsburgh to back off than they are sure to lose this one.

I won't start with the "officiating."

Penguins finally taking advantage of the Wings stellar passing game this series. Holy shit, pass to the one guy who is surrounded by Penguins. Smart. And big shocker, Ericsson give away leads to the other goal.

Coach Babcock, have you not noticed that every time Ericsson touches the puck he turns it over the last 2 or so games?

Not sure I can finish watching this game. Getting so angry at the piss poor play and sheer laziness of the Wings. Props to the Pens for taking it to us. When the Wings aren't managing to screw things up themselves Pittsburgh is forcing them to.
