Boston is a mentally weak team. Anyone else on the Cavs steps up and the Celtics would be making summer vacation plans right now. Boston being pushed to 7 games twice in a row because they couldn't win a road game, show their lack of mental toughness.

how are they better w/o a healthy chauncey billups? Regardless, I expect KG to step it up and burn the pistons.

Sheed plays great against KG, and Chauncey has had enough rest not even playing the last 2 games.

And they are better because our starters have gotten a lot more rest during the season and that has actually let us develop a quality bench. Stuckey has been playing great, Maxiell is a monster, I just think this team is a lot better than last year and more focused.

I was hoping for a Lakers - Celtics final, but after watching todays game, it doesn't look like that will be happening. The Celtics do not have that killer instinct needed in the playoffs; no one on the Celtics is taking the game over or putting the nail in the coffin, offensively or defensively. Looking at the Pistons, you have three experienced players that are not only former champions but they also have a great bench. Chauncey, Rip, and Rasheed are masked murderers in the playoffs and each of them can MAKE/have made a team ending shot (slightly different from a game ending, last minute shot. Team ending means taking the wind out of someones sails - demoralizing, removing all hope), something the Celtics have not done in the playoffs. Detroit in 6.

Lakers vs Detroit in Finals. Lakers in 7? I'm a Lakers fan, and I'm very worried about the Pistons, not to mention the winner of the Spurs/Hornets series.

Damn, lebron scored 45, not bad at all. It's going to be a really interesting series between the Celtics and the Pistons. Here's hoping ray allen can find his touch and scorch the pistons from the threy :beer:

Is the spurs No game tomorrow? I hope NO get through as they are by far the better team in the regular season.

lol, i'm getting schooled by a bandwagon Celtic's fan. funny Red, of all the time i've been around these forums i don't recall ever seeing you in an NBA discussion. i'm certainly happy that the Celtics are finally a respectable team and not the joke of a franchise anymore. and yes, the Detroit jokes are always rampant around playoff time, particularly by sore loser sports beat writers who console themselves after losing to the Pistons. i can only imagine the scores of Celtic "fans" who finally get to break out their moth-eaten Larry Bird jerseys and wear them around without getting laughed at.

if he couldn't step up tonight and dominate the Cav's mediocre frontline, i highly doubt he'll get the better of Sheed, Dice, and Maxiell.

Imo, the Celtics match up a lot better with the Pistons and I expect it to go the distance. I don't know who'll win yet. Lebron had a valiant effort but he had no help i.e. Boobie.

I just can't see the Celtics beating Detroit at this point, unless they change from how they played the Cavs. Detroit, IMO, is a much better defense team and can knock down shots. Garnett tore apart the Cavs most of the series, but Detroit has better big men to defend him. Pierce and especially Allen need to show up.

QFTX2...as I wish to see Chris Paul play another series, this kid is amazing. Especially against Kobe and the Lakers. I like Parker, Duncan and the Spurs too but I'm tired of seeing them in there. Credit to the defending champs, if they're back in the Conf. Finals again though.
