it's funny how both lakers fan and celtics fan are criticizing the refs being unfair to their own team

they're unfair alright, and this mess with the Felon Ref bombshell is not helping (especially at the middle of the finals series!)

QFT. Just let the game play out as it is meant to be. Basketball has alot of deficiencies as a sport (i.e. imbalance between teams, low level of strategy) but the NBA shouldn't try to manufacture competitiveness through calls

Jeff Van Gundy actually made a suggestion that instead of fouling/fouling out, the NBA follows a hockey structure where you get sent to the penalty box for a specified time.

Power plays in basketball would be awesome.



Plus it kills the lame ass "hack a shaq" style of game management since it puts real risk on the fouling team.

Why do you think the Hawks/Celts series went 7 games? The Hawks went to the foul line a shitload more than the Celts. It was almost as bad as game 2 of the finals. The aggressive teams get the calls.. that's been the key to the whole damn playoffs.

yup, if the cavs would have only realized all they needed to do was get the ball to lebron and have him drive to the net every time he would have been fouled every time they would have won the series

I'm not denying he's going to be a hall of famer, because he will be, but he isn't the second coming of MJ as many people say he is. He's a hog who doesn't know how to play team ball and win. He can't play D, can't improve his teammates. Look he even had ben wallace on his team this year and they still sucked.

You do know that missed FG attempts that cause a foul do not count as FG attempts? If they did, you would have seen on those charts a much larger number of Boston FG atempts compared to LA in the paint.
