Redskins fan here.

I was never convinced that Eli was going to have what it takes, but I have to hand it to him. That play where he broke two or three tackles and then heaved a bomb downfield was pure guts. He knew what he had to do, and he did it. So did all of the Giants, including Webster, who made up for the touchdown he allowed with flawless coverage at the end of the game.

Let me tell you, if you wanted Pats fans to suffer you got your wish. Losing the SB is bad enough but losinjg it to a NYC team is insufferable. But they outplayed the Pats fair and square. No bad calls by the Refs, they just beat them.

To tell you the truth this was not that enjoyable of a season for me. So much on the line for every fucking game really wore me down. I'm so glad this season is over. I wish we would have won, in fact this is the first time a home team of mine ever lost the SB. Now that it's over it's not so bad but while it was happening it was excrusiating:laugh:

This is just like when the Pats beat the Rams for their first SB title. Way to go Giants, I hope your team stays on top and they meet the Pats again in another SB. Two storied Franchises deserve another go or two at it:thumbsup:

Agreed, it's about what I expected. I will always give Pats* fans shit, but it's nothing personal. I remember the Colts going 13-0 one year and the pressure after 10 wins was almost unbearable, even for the fans. If I were a Pats* fan (perish the thought) I'd imagine I'd feel relieved, but also look at the entire season as a huge disappointment.

The SB was a huge dissapointment but the regular season was an unbelievable Roller Cosater ride, something that most Football fans will never get to experience in their life time. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of Roller Coasters:lau

Giants defense played an awesome game. Pats fans might say that their o-line didn't play so well, but a lot of it has to do with the Giants defense (most Pats fans will deny that though)

Patriots lost the game, and the Giants benefitted. Giants D was great, best pass rush in the game. The pass rush was just good enough to shut down the patriots
passing game for long enough to score a few points. Did the Gmen pass rush slip Brady some drugs during one of thoes sacks?

As fas as Eli as the MVP of the game? Are you kidding me? The best player in that game was Wes Welker. Hell Wes is the friggin MVP of the league this year.
