people ask me about the games and I just tell them... I didn't watch. No, I didn't see the highlights either. i've been doing my own little silent protest for a while now... not watching the Oilers. other hockey is just too damn good right now... games that actually matter.

I hope Joe Nieuwendyk chokes and dies. He got rid of Tippet because Tippet traded him away from the Stars. Trying to lay blame on the coach for the Stars performance last season is sad, considering how many key players the Stars had out due to injury. The fact that they did as well as thye did using a bunch of AHL call ups is amazing in itself.

Tippet has proven this year that he IS a great coach. He took a team that was in the bottom 5 or 6 of the league and has them now 3 in the league.

The Devils score one goal in two games, then score six goals in one game... They give up two goals in two games, then give up three goals in one game. They go 18 straight power plays without a goal, then score three power play goals in one night. Kovalchuk goes five games without a point, then gets four in one game.

A little consistency would be nice, but at least they won.

I guess I don't have room to talk because I'll be driving 10 hours each way to go to a machine gun shoot in two weeks, but I'll be there the whole weekend.
