Thank god he's gone is all I gotta say. I could not stand him, he coughs up the puck like no tomorrow and he takes a shit ton of shots per game and yet hardly never scores.

During the season he took 257 shots yet only scored 19 goals. Playoffs he had 79 shots and 5 goals. There were probably a few more but certain shots don't count like posts/crossbars etc.

I take a wait and see attitude about MS. He has a past with the Sedins playing as a line in the 2006 Olympics. Also Stanly Cup final experience is always valuable.

Good pick up........... who else can say they signed a 36 year old player and the average age of the team went down Pretty reasonable price and he has Cup experience.

I like Steve Tambellini........... wish he would have become the GM of Vancouver. I know he will help turn around the Oilers.

To bad "Heater" nixed the trade........ I think it's for the best though.......... great skilled hockey player but to selfish and poor character.

But with the $4 mill bonus paid out.......... there will have to be more to the original rumored deal. Some more salary will have to go back to cover the bonus money paid out.

Senators signed Kovalev for 2 years ($10 million total). This might prove to be a nice addition. Provides help with the secondary scoring. Not as much pressure on him to be the go-to guy as in Montreal. We'll see how he fits in the Clouston system.

Sad to see Burnaby Joe retire, such a class guy on and off the ice.

Yeah, when everyone first heard it they thought it was probably a backup plan if he couldn't get a deal done with the wings, but now that the terms are coming out, he is going to triple his salary that he could get under this CBA.
