Manningham, Harvin, DeSean Jackson

Also... is it time to jump ship on Steve Slaton?... not liking the coaches comments about Steve... last year before he blew up it was Kubiak's vote of confidence that convinced me to buy in early... now I'm getting the opposite message.

Manningham. Going up against a Tampa D that is still having issues in it's secondary and has already proven that they're going to get raped by the long ball every week.

I'm giving Slaton another week, then looking at what he gets for carries compared to Chris Brown this week. If he puts the ball on the ground one more time, or if he gets less carries and low numbers this week, you can expect that he won't be the #1 back for at least the next few weeks.

Thanks for the advice... I think I'm going to take it... I'm actually thinking of trying to trade Percy Harvin now. Because I'm worried Berrian is going to be the #1 go to guy in Minnesota... and with AP running the ball there's not enough to go around in the receiving dept.

As for Slaton... I'm going to be starting Hightower in his spot this weekend.

Anyone here on the yahoo league, got a quick question.

I accepted a trade proposal on tuesday and it's still showing pending ... how long does the trade take or am I suppose to do something else?

Any comment on my previous post? Play Stewart as handcuff to DeAngelo, or play McFadden (think I'll keep Hightower as Flex no matter what)?

I gotta wonder...

Do I hold on to Jamal Lewis as a backup? Do I drop him for Correll Buckhalter or Ricky Williams? Do I start Slaton this week over anyone in my stable (Fred Jackson, Steve Jackson, Jamal Lewis - or the pickup of Buckhalter or Williams)? Maybe I'll start the Jacksons and Johnny Knox in the flex spot. So many ?'s.

Reasonable offer?

Zach Miller + Patrick Crayton for Chris Cooley.

I'm stacked at WR and need a better TE. He's thin at WR w/ Jennings, Simms-Walker and Roddy White as his starters.

I can also offer him either Santana Moss or Housh but Moss has put up sad numbers the last 2 weeks and Housh is trying to catch passes from Wallace so im not sure if he'd be interested.

Any thoughts on Gore this week @Min nursing that ankle?

I'm in a bit of a bind where I have 5 players that can easily score 10+ points and I need to start 4.

The 2 guys in question are Gore/Jennings..

As it stands, I'm probably going to start

F. Gore
F. Jones
R. White
S. Smith (NYG)

Benching G. Jennings

Alternatively, I can do the "these defenses have been getting raped" strategy and go

F. Jones
R. White
S. Smith
G. Jennings

Benching F. Gore

Thoughts?

"This week pits Gore against the best defense he has yet faced. The Vikings have only allowed two passing scores and nothing on the ground. This is the first game that the Vikings will be at home so temper your expectations of Gore who will be fortunate if he can score even once. He'll add some receiving yardage to keep him fantasy worthy but on the road should have less success this week."

Interestingly enough, T.J Housh is owned in 100% of all leagues and Steve Smith (NYG) is only owned in 66.8%

RB question. Right now starting Slaton and Kevin Smith. Is Tashard Choice a possible start over either of them since Barber is out?

Barber isn't thinking he's out. He says he's fine.

Housh is going to be worthless w/ Seneca Wallace under center. He had a lot of potential as the #1 with hasselbeck doing the passing.

I would stick w/ Gore and sit Jennings.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how someone who has both Jennings and White is thin at WR? And I fail further to see who in their right mind would give up Cooley... who is looking more and more like the Skins' ONLY reasonable receiving option for marginal guys like Crayton, Moss and Miller... Housh is the only one with any real name power... and he hasn't produced yet... Cooley has.

I think you have to ride your studs... Jackson, Jackson, and Slaton... if S Jax and Slaton don't start producing you have serious problems that Correll Buckhalter isn't going to solve.

Having said that... I'd rather have Buckhalter to fill bye weeks than Lewis... I'd stay away from Williams... I don't see him having that many carries very often.. Last weekend was special.

To answer the Gore question you have to pretend you were Mike Singletary for a second... ask yourself(as Mike)... Am I more likely to win the game by having Shaun Hill throw the ball? Or by running my Stud RB?

Thoughts on which 2 RB to start? Thinking of Thomas Jones cause of the matchup against Ten, but not sure about the 2nd RB. Choice or an injured Westbrook?

Thomas Jones @ Ten
Tashard Choice @ Car
Brian Westbrook @ KC
Derrick Ward @ NYG

Nice. Any thoughts on Pierre Thomas? I have to decide to start him or L. Johnson at my flex spot. I'm leaning toward Johnson until Thomas proves that he's healthy and contributing again. I have C. Johnson & Deangelo Williams in my RB spots.

Not sure what to do with my lineup this week.

Do I start Manningham (NYG) and S. Smith (NYG), and bench Sims-Walker (Jags) and R. Williams (Dallas) or do I start one of the two benched in place of Smith?

NYG @ TB
Jags @ Texans
Dallas vs. Carolina

Hard decision to make considering the stats that Manningham and Smith have even though they play together, but the Texans have a secondary almost as bad as TB and I'm sure Romo and Williams should rebound this week.

Anyone have an opinion on this?

Manningham OR Smith (I for some reason think Smith will have a better day).
Sims-Walker will have a decent day

I have absolutely NO faith in any sort of consistency for Dallas at this point.
