in a shallow league (10 teams - family league ) im looking to bolster my rb's with mcfadden out for a few weeks. who should i pick up: ahmad bradshaw or donald brown? or consider someone else?

which of the other 2 would you drop for rice?
housh or nate?

I just saw that carson palmer is sitting in the fa pool, and kurt warner is on the cant cut list... so far this year hes been sucking majorly... I would make this switch in a hearbeat, but alas I cannot.

Ugh, what should I do with Pitt D?

I need to make space on my bench.

I currently have Pitt D + 49'ers D

49'ers have 66 points on the season, Steelers have 21...

Well the Steelers play against the Lions (Culpepper) then the Browns... you may want to wait it out a couple more weeks.

defenses get lucky. pick whomever plays the worse offensive team or whomever you like the best. there is no reason to have 2 defenses. i'd keep pitt

You'd keep Pitt, which has consistently done less than sF???? I mean, I know the leading safety is out but fuck

This is probably a no-brainer, but:

Favre against the lowly Rams or Romo against the lowly Chiefs?

Romo has been on my bench for 2 weeks now...he's gotta come around some time, right?

yeah, consider the upcoming game against Oakland for SF. that she be an impressive defensive day. Not to mention the other weaksauce division opponents.

Funny: we draft IDPs in our leauge as we consider the Defense slot stupid and boring. If what you're saying about Pit D in this league is true, Patrick Willis (in our league) has outscored your Pit D 3:1 by week 4.

lulz

sigh...i hate fantasy football. once again my team looks like a huge injury report...

QBs - donovan mcnabb and matt hassellback...both knocked out week one...replaced with matthew stafford who was hurt this weekend
RBs - clinton portis has nagging injuries, darren mcfadden injured over the weekend, correll buckhalter sprained ankle now...
WRs - calvin johnson hurt this weekend, devin hester hurt this weekend, andre davis hurt week 2, and chris chambers just blows
TEs - bo scaife injured week 1...
Kicker - phil dawson injured week 2

sigh...being in a 16 team fantasy league is awful. there are literally no free agent options

whoa, good call....

brb.

Indeed. Apparently he signed last night. Good call. I wonder how long it will take to get up to speed though. Honestly, how much more is there for a receiver to learn than run route or block this position - other than audibles.

McNabb will probably play this week.
Portis - they're going to ride him until he falls apart.
Hester is on a bye week and will be fine.
Chambers is literally now the ONLY WR the Rams have, he'll finally be seeing balls come his way.
Scaife? Pick up Mercedes Lewis - he's virtually unknown in most leagues, but is a fairly "consistent" target now. Jermicheal Finley should also be relatively available in a lot of leagues too.
You have problems finding a kicker in your league? Really?

Niceness. Picked up Sidney Rice in a bunch of leagues. One on them I ended up dropping T.O. for him. Sorry T.O., but until the Bills have an offensive line that works, Trent Edwards isn't going to be throwing many touchdowns period.

he won't be on the field until Oct 25, apparently (which is also the day that Gore is projected to return for me), but I feel lucky. Our league dumps all free agents onto waivers after Monday, which creates a Thursday morning rush to the waivers for everyone. waiver order recycles each week based on current league standings. (This system started as an accident last season, but we've come to dig it--first time we've ever really used, and payed any attention, to waiver order.)

anyhoo, I was last in waivers (currently in first place), and I needed a TE to fill in for Gates' bye week. Heath Miller had been dumped before last week (ouch), and I managed to pick him up with the last spot for Janikowski (who I'd picked up previous week for Elam's bye).

then I tossed in a claim for Crabtree dumping Wade (picked up 2 weeks earlier, from KC. sucking it up).

My WR core is the weakest: Cotchery is my only consistent target. Boldin sucks. Picked up Rice last week to fill in a spot, which worked out well. hopefully Crabtree will be able to round things out nicely come November.

I have Cutler and Brees as my QBs, unfortunately they are both on BYE. I'm trying to swing a trade basically cutler for scuab - straight up. I looked at Houston's schedule and it seems slightly easier than Chicago's. What do you guys think?

You really need someone to convince you whether Homo is a keeper this year? Weeks 1-4 should be enough to make up your own mind.
