All of my stocks traded sideways today. I'm hoping tomorrow provides some upward action. Hoping most of all that AMD goes up so more so I'm no longer in the red.

I bought MYST. Hoping some stock pumper comes in and pumps it.

Myst is a tough one, the stock has a mind of its own, no news can cause the stock price to up or down. volumn is still pretty low. I am waiting for that one day the stock price will pop...until then if you can get some under 7cents, just sell around 12cents, rinse and repeat. That's what I've been doing.

I think their next filing for Q2 earnings will be telling. It will show if their growth story is legit or not.

still pissed about not getting in on SPNG

I don't get it either. The volume is over twice the daily avg too.

I got out last week and mostly sitting on cash right now. Perhaps a mistake on my part to get out so early. Just today my application is approved to be able to trade options on Scottrade. Never done so in my life. Any more speculative play out there?

It's still not too late, depends on your window of returns, it's having a slight pull back and I think it's no where near its ceiling.

But, I'm just gonna sing a song I know you don't like very much "WE BUILD THIS CITI ON BUY AND HOLD!!!!!"...

The problem with C is that a lot of people don't understand what the conversion will do for C.

Ricochet, you want speculative? HEB and CTIC...

Edit: When I typed this SPNG was at .133, right now it's testing its next resistance with is .15, the next resistance is at .20.

Didn't you just buy some shares last week?

Yup, bought it for the case against DISH and any movement related to that. Didn't buy it for long term.

I don't think one week is considered short-term either It's not meant to be a daytrading stock.

Read up on the legal ramifications of the legal ruling, TIVO has DISH's neck on a rope. I own 2,000 shares bought a little above $9 and $20/$25 Jan 2010 options. The story is pretty compelling.

I think I read you bought around 100 shares. If it's not money you need, I would say stay in. Again though, you guys need to study on these stocks too and not just buy it because I wrote about it. There's going to be a times (if there hasn't been already) that news will hit suddenly that I will react pretty fast to. I might not be able to post on here in time as to what my opinion of it is.

Considering the run-up in the overall market recently, things can turn around for better or worse in a day's timeframe.

You got all my numbers right. I did my homework and read a few sources and been following that stock but trust me, my information gathering is no where close to exhaustive and some of them . Dont need the money right now, but a couple of articles i read did not paint a positive picture for further movement in price. Thats why i thought i will check with you guys and see if any of you is still holding on to it.

I too, am pleasantly surprised at the relative strength of RMBS vs the market this week. It's held up remarkedly well.

Although I have been contemplating taking some of the shares I bought off the table. I initially only wanted to hold 5,000 shares and some options, but found myself buying the dips when it hit $5, $6, $7, etc. earlier this year and late last year... and now have roughly 13,000 shares and a lot options. If you looked at my stock holdings I am way heavy in RMBS vs. everything else. I might bring the shares down so I'll end up owning 8,500 (still more than I originally wanted).

This is in no way of me being less enthusiastic about RMBS. I've learned through the years that you need to take some profit of the table, even if it means losing out on bigger money. A lot of those shares are sitting with a 200%-300% gain right now.

The AT suit IS the hammer this fall, and hopefully nothing gets in the way of it (besides settlements). I'm very up-beat on the company as I have been, so it's hard parting away with shares I feel in time would be worth much more. However, one shouldn't let greed take over a disciplined approach. And if RMBS ever goes sub-$10 again, I'll just do what I have been doing all along.

EDIT: Also forgot Rambus was negotiating with the EU Commission for a settlement (possibly due to the FTC surrendering recently). This could come out anytime, although I'm not sure whether it'd be good or bad (leaning towards good because of the outcome of the FTC), but I don't understand Europeans all that much.

is it just me or does it seem like a buyer keeps coming in and propping up rmbs at 15? I thought maybe it was Azurick "buying the dips."

I love how GMGMQ is back up to $1.50 a share, even though it's been delisted from the NYSE and all of that stock will probably be worthless once the bankruptcy proceedings are complete.

What are these people thinking?

I put up $4k for SPNG @ $0.03 and jesus christ the thing is now up to almost $0.20. My friends thought I was stupid but hey, when you make $15 million in a quarter, and what the company made last year at this time (less than $100k I believe), I was sold immediately on the company.

What's so special about this company? So they make sponges, but what's so special about their products?

Yes, they make sponges, but it is different in design. Their sponges have solutions baked in and are disposable; they first started with car sponges that have wax and soap baked in, then onto pets. They started making sponges for children (Spongebob sponges) and expanding onto medical sponges. I can see them making sponges for other fields as well.

That's just one angle, here's their income and revenues for the last three years:

2007 - Revenue .06 Mil, Net Income -.082 Mil
2008 - Revenue 5.21 Mil, Net Income 1.24 Mil
2009 - Revenue 13.16 (Q1), Net Income 1.51 Mil (Q1) With projected Q2 revenues approaching 50Mil and Net Income of 10 Mil.

They have recently advertise into more mainstream media mediums, and have signed contract with Costco to sell their products. Their products aren't on the shelves of most popular chain stores yet. You do the math.

They're earnings rate so far mimics a high growth company, and earnings look impressive so far - just look out for signs of flat-lining though if the plan to integrate their products into mainstream, high traffic shopping avenues don't work. It's still a very small company.
