Bynum fined and suspended for 5 games....will lose about $700K....
He needs to get an award for weakest apology ever...Should have been at least a 10 game suspension IMO because his past history...

bloomed with help from biased refs
Does he have a past history? I don't watch many Lakers games but I guess I never associated him as being a thug. None the less, I agree though. 5 games is weaksauce. The pure thuggery of the intent, his complete lack of remorse, the size of the guy he did it to, and the utter failure of sportsmanship in the act should have resulted in a much higher penalty.
Props to Atlanta, they are an incredible team around the rim when they play with energy and rotate. So much hops, great hands, quick feet, great reach, etc. Smith is a monster in the paint when his head is in the game and he really wants to compete. Horford plays big and Johnson has great hands, so does marvin williams and teague.
Wow! I thought the 5 games was fair-ish but I knew nothing of his history. Having seen these plays now I think it should of been a 20-30 game suspension with a warning that next time it's a full season then after that it's lifetime. There's no need for that crap in the NBA. Beasley came down awkward one his arm. He could of easily been out with a broken arm or shoulder.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU7RiLERJ-Y

Cheap shot on Gerald Wallace from 2009

How the FVCK is this asswipe still in the league after the Barea hit? Will the NBA wait until someone has a career ending injury from this idiot until they ban him??? WTF??

Atlanta has the pieces and talent to be an awesome team. Maybe next year is their year? Who knows. Look at the turn around they had in the playoffs this year vs. last. I know Orlando is a much weaker team than they were last year, but Atlanta played much harder. Maybe their new coach can reign in the isolation play and get them passing more and defending better. Maybe they'll always been the 'coulda woulda, shouldas" like Denver and Phoenix the last few years.
But Smith, Johnson, Horford, Crawford and Teague (who has been stellar this series) are 5 excellent players that would be welcomed on just about any team in the league. They just seem to be missing some veteran player to whip the young'ns in shape or somebody to step up and take control of the team.
Former NBA and Michigan big man Robert "Tractor" Traylor was found dead today in his apartment in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico, elnuevodia.com reports. Traylor’s death has been confirmed on the Facebook page of the Bayamón Cowboys, the Puerto Rican team with which Traylor was playing.
The presumed cause of death was a massive heart attack, according to elnuevodia.
Traylor was 34.
Traylor was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1998, and played for seven seasons in the NBA, also with the Hornets (both in Charlotte and New Orleans) and the Cavaliers.
What does that have to do with the 2010-2011 NBA playoffs?
Jeff Green is a horrible player. I haven't seen a single phase of the game that he's any good at.
