here's a stat for you....the Bulls hadn't lost 2 in a row since Feb...and never 3..until the Heat series.

Yes, they have 3 players. That's all Heat fans talk about because they're bandwagon fans who just became interested in basketball when Lebron James took the cowardly way out and joined a team with an NBA scoring leader hoping for an easy championship instead of trying to compete.

The Mavs however have a much deeper team, filled with a bench that has been killing teams all playoffs.

The difference at the PG position is staggering. Miami has a trash PG in Mike Bibby who is tantamount to a pile of shit. Whereas Dallas has arguably the smartest passing PG of all time, who has recently found his jumpshot as well.

Bosh is pathetic. He has such a one-dimensional game, and you call him a top 15 player? lol okay buddy. Dallas will have no troubles checking Wade and Bosh. And if Lebron plays like this: http://www.nba.com/statscube/player.html#LeBron-James|2544;season=r;splitType=team;splitValue=dal

The Mavs will absolutely rip through the Heat defense. They have 85 more assists and 14 fewer turnovers, and have been burning teams all playoffs long with their superior ball movement. The Heat are used to the eastern teams iso and pick and rolls, they will have their hands full with the Mavs.

The Bulls are inexperienced, the Mavs absolutely are not. And if you haven't been following their games, they swept the 2 time defending champions.

Also, the refs and Bulls won the last series for Miami

The Heat are truly amazing. Never have I seen a team with 3 "superstars" play a more boring, soporific style of basketball in my life.

Refs will extend the series to seven games and hand it to the Heat.

I agree the NBA and Commander Stearn will instruct the refs to make this series as long as possible, but at the end of the day they can only do so much.

I want Miami to win because I like Lebron and Wade, but I would never, ever bet on them. They're only 3 guys, while Dallas is ridiculously deep, and they're on a wave of momentum I haven't seen in the playoffs since probably sometime around Showtime Lakers.

I predict Dallas in 6.

You forgot the center comparisons. Chandler/Haywood vs Anthony

Well I forgot who Anthony even is, you'll have to excuse me. Also, does Miami even have a bench?

We can spend all day listing the numerous advantages the Mavs have right down to the coaching staff(Erik Spoelstra is fucking useless) though, might as well make it short since the Heat fans will only ever reply with "b-b-but WADE, JAMES AND BOSH".

I can't wait to hear the excuses from the Mav fans when they start losing games. It'll be a thing of beauty. Remember guys, Miami wasn't suppose to go through the Celtics or Chicago either. Regular Season! Regular Season! Regular Season!

Lebron and Wade won't be denied.

Remember guys, Mavs were called soft, weak, one and done boys....they weren't supposed to get past Blazers, Lakers, or OKC.

But what did they do?

-4-0 sweep of Lakers
-Biggest comeback in the past 10+ years in Game 4 vs OKC
-Used their bball IQ to overcome a young athletic team

If anyone is interested in the accuracy of predictions around here, just re-read through the thread. The more "foaming at the mouth", the less accurate it ends up being. Thanks for the context Awkward.

They beat overrated teams, the Lakers always fold under pressure. Beating Boston + Chicago is easily a more impressive accomplishment. I'll give Dallas the Lakers, but that's it, because the western conference is a cake walk compared to the east. The Lakers fell victim to believing the bullshit their fans spew about they're unbeatable and always win when it counts. I won $50 off a Lakers fan who bet me they'd come back from 1-3 against the Mavs. I thought he had to be joking with me. I almost felt bad taking his money. He told me "they always win when it counts" lol.

Now the Mavs could pull off the upset here, and my Celtics could rebound next season and win the title, with Shaq making a come back for his final season and playing like he did 10 years ago.

Meaning, anything's possible

I don't understand why Lebron, Wade, Bosh is a bad reply.

I don't think poor Dirk will ever get a ring. They couldn't beat Miami back when they just had Wade. Now they have Wade, Lebron, and Bosh. Maybe the Mavs deepness will be challenging for the heat but I dunno. I think the Heat will win in 6.

Because it shows the Heat have the depth of a shallow puddle. You should learn to read in between the lines. Those 3 literally account for 95% of their offense.

Well, not literally.

Lebron - 27ppg
Wade - 26ppg
Bosh - 19ppg

72ppg out of the 102ppg the Heat averaged. Not even close to 95%.

I didn't say total points, I said offense. Could the rest of this pathetic team score anything without either of those 3 -- specifically Wade and James, generating the offense? Didn't think so. Also, those are regular season games and those numbers are staggering. There have been games like against the 76ers where those 3 have accounted for nearly 80% of the total points.

You're not doing a very good job at proving whatever point you're trying to make.

The Mavs have many players who can come off the bench and give them 20 points. The team just has many, many more options to utilize. Not to mention Dirk Nowitzki.

So you think without Terry, Kidd and Nowitzki the remaining Dallas Mavericks would score a bunch of points? I wasn't trying to prove a point, I was calling you out on a literal mistake. Why would any team do well without its three most important players on offense?

Barea, Peja Stojakovic, etc. The Mavs have options, the Heat do not. Don't know why you're even trying to dispute this, also, it was just an exaggeration(that is actually rather close) in order to put emphasis on my overall point. But, if you'd like to build an argument around semantics, be my guest.

If you take away Nowitzki, Terry and Kidd then Barea and Peja aren't world beaters anymore. There is a reason they don't start, and a reason they get shelved for the night if they are having an off game. Pull up a game log of this season and see how many times they put up just a couple points in a game.

You are saying the Heat are nothing without Lebron, Wade and Bosh. I would agree that the Mavs would win if all three didn't suit up. The thing is, they are suiting up. Their contribution is therefore relevant in discussions regarding this series.

You're going away from the point, of course their contribution is relevant; they're the only thing relevant about the Heat.

Even with Wade, James and Bosh the Heat don't have anyone to benefit from their contribution. 30 points for the rest of the team? lol far less average in the playoffs, btw.
