Meanwhile, Placido Polanco is out with a sore back for the Phils. I know a lot of you sterile stat-heads pooh-pooh him, but I love Polly and believe he brings a lot both offensively and defensively.

Hope this isn't a harbinger of bad things for the Phils.

And we've got the firepower to finish it off. CJ Wilson, Colby Lewis and Tommy Hunter have all had career seasons this year. The Rangers have never had a rotation even close to as good as these guys. And the best pen in the MLB IMO.

If our offense stays hot watch out!

volquez is a little shaky after his tommy john surgery. i think he'll come around eventually, at least i hope he does. he definitely helped my fantasy league last year!

Picked by almost everyone to lose the series, Baker gambled on the huge upside of going with Volquez and possibly stealing a game against the Phillies best. I can't fault him for that at all.

I tend to disagree. I saw inside pitches called strikes on both Rollins and Victorino that I thought were balls.

Of course, our view is not exactly foolproof since it's difficult to judge where the ball is when it crosses the plate from the camera view.
