Holy fuck Lincecum.
that was ridiculous.
Not really. The umpires gave that game to the Giants. The Giants got 4 outs in the inning that they scored their one run. It should be 0-0 going into the bottom of the 9th.
Another shitty ass performance by the umps. I could tell watching live that Posey was out by a mile. No way the ump should miss that.
Was it a no hitter? /letdown
haha.
No-nos are almost a dime a dozen these days.
One terrible call, yes.
Did the umpires hand 14k's to Lincecum?
No, they didn't.
You know who did?
The Braves. They whiffed on 12 dirt balls.
Why?
b/c Lincecum is a beast.
You're an idiot.
much has been proven tonight.
Motherfucking umpires are sold for the Rays-Rangers series, two calls already cost 2 games. The MLB needs to get these motherfucking umpires some glasses.
ROFL! the call in game 1 was confirmed by replay and was 100% the right call, the pitch hit the bat not the batter. The no swing call on Mike Young today was a judgement call that could have went either way, thats baseball. But the fact that you so convieniently ignore is that you could have gotten both calls and still lost both games. The Rays scored ZERO today, so with or without Mikes 3 run homer, You lose.
Bought some tickets tonight for the potential ALCS home game2 at the ballpark, looking like it will be Yankees - Rangers.
If it is Yankees - Rangers, the Rangers would have home field, right?
I think it's by seed and the Rangers were the 4 seed.
I looked it up last night and indeed if it is Yankees and Rangers in the ALCS, the Rangers will have home field. The Yankees as the wildcard were the 4 seed, Rangers were the 3 seed.
League Championship Series (ALCS and NLCS)
The winners of the Division Series then advance to the best-of-seven American League and National League Championship Series. The team with the best record of the remaining teams will have home-field advantage. In the event that the wild-card team has the better record than the other qualifying team that is a division champion, the division champion still gets the advantage and hosts Games 1, 2, 6 and 7.
That's good news for Texas because they're 3 games under .500 on the road.
Guess what? The Giants didn't earn a run. I don't care if the Braves were swinging at shit all night. The Giants didn't get a legitimate run across either.
lulz, I hope you're being facetious. Seeing a perfect game and a no-hitter (let alone in the postseason) is something we have a .000000000001% chance of witnessing again. Lincecum would be lucky to throw a single no hitter in his career, let alone a perfect game. The only reason he won Cy Young last year was because Wainwright/Carpenter split the top votes, let's not kid ourselves here... Tim can strike em out but is too inconsistent and injury prone. Halladay is not only good, but never misses a start (led MLB in innings pitched this year). It's just unreal what he has accomplished in the last decade and I hope Tim has the same longevity; I really enjoy watching him pitch and love visiting that ballpark when I can. The food (sushi especially) and atmosphere/view with McCovey Cove is just money.
Yeah, it's funny how stats don't seem to mean much in the playoffs. Going into the Tampa series everyone said Texas didn't have a chance because of their road record and the fact that Tampa swept them in the Trop the last time they met. But that didn't stop the Rangers from spanking them for the two biggest road wins in franchise history
I actually think if the Rays are to win a game it will be game three, Mat Garza has been a beast against Texas. But I really agree that it will probably be a sweep, The Rangers will be flying high and the crowd will be insane and the Rays just look dejected. And Colby Lewis has the second best opponents batting average in the leauge.

Don't know who has the firepower to keep up with this team.
Down four-zip, the Phils come back to win 7-4, give game ball to the Cincy defense.
Woot.
Braves continue to get screwed in this series.
