It has been , and I've been saying it for a while now too. It's gaining strength and gonna move up more, with a small down side fluctuation of course. That's a good Gamble. ;D

MPEL is Macao's pure play, as WYNN, LVS profits all come from Macao. It's possible that Harrahs wants in the action, because no more casino operator licenses are given out, so the only way in is through acquisition. For a while I thought Blackstone wanted to beat the price down so they can jump in for the cheap (and they beat the living snot out of it), but the stock has a life of its own and gaining strength by itself. It was beaten down mercilessly for months and is now beginning the leg up.
Revenues for MPEL YOY has grown at least 65% and profit hasn't been great due to opening of COD, but that will come to pass and it will return to at least its IPO within a year. I think it will do fine from now on.
It was a different market back then as they didn't have a lot going on for them and Altira was just pretty much FAILED. But, since the opening of COD, and they turned around the operations of Altira, they've been gaining market shares. Not only that but Macao gambling revenues have been growing tremendously, that plus larger market shares = profits. At $25 it is expensive right now, but at ~$4 it is a steal. Tell your friend to average down, if he hasn't when the stock went into sub $3 territory. My friend lost a crap load with MPEL 2-3 years ago when he got in at $25 then $13, he's still holding trying to recover. He was raving about how Chow Yun-Fat owns parts of MPEL.
You're my best friend right now.
I wish I had more to share, but I can only research so much. =)
I also wish I had more in it, oh well! I'm glad you like the pick...
"We are pleased that the FDA has, for the first time, granted orphan drug status for the use of an embryonic stem cell derived therapy in treating an unmet medical need," said Edmund Mickunas, Vice President Regulatory. "We believe that our terminally differentiated RPE cells represent a promising treatment for patients with SMD and expect to be in a position to accelerate clinical development and hopefully make RPE cellular therapy available to the majority of patients sooner."
I'm in today as well... you may be my friend soon
You can coordinate the group hug.

wow - sitting at 7.15 now. I'm up almost a buck a share and I bought in this AM. You better be careful, I'm almost ready to kiss you
Looks like we're seeing some profit taking on VHC now. Not surprising.
I've got big enough balls to see this one through the end of the trial and beyond. It's in our IRAs anyway so it's not like we can spend the money.
It's just your retirement money, who cares right?
I didn't mean to suggest that. Our IRAs are roughly 1/15 the size of our 401Ks so we can afford to be aggressive with that money. I'm also forced to be patient because there's obviously no margin in IRAs. Settlement dates come into play.
