Transferring some funds. Hope by the time they clear it's not too late to jump on the VHC bandwagon (here's to hoping it bottoms out, say... tomorrow).

You might be catching a falling knife... but if you're in it for the medium term I wouldn't sweat it (yet)!

I buy long term. I don't have as much free capital to play with as some of these guys here, so I put in far smaller amounts and sit on it. I'm basically more of a fire-and-forget kind of person, so VHC should potentially be a good target for me. Plus, I'm in no hurry to buy, so if it keeps going down, all the better (for me).

Either way, the way I see it is VHC is a no-loss long term position. Either they win Microsoft's appeals and get larger/other damage awards from their suits, Microsoft licenses their tech (along with other companies falling into line licensing), or Microsoft buys their portfolio. They have the upper hand already with a positive verdict, and it looks unlikely that is going to be overturned. Worst case scenario, VHC's stock levels out on licensing income and you break (almost) even. Best case scenario, well... we all know where that goes.

According to the press release date and the estimate of 10-12 weeks to review the data, GNVC could report their 184th event data as soon as this Friday (3/26/10). That could be an exciting day, but i think we may see a sell off. Thoughts?

maybe not a big sell off, but some confusion/volatility is likely. As I've said before, the market isn't very good at responding to results events like this unless the summary says "everyone lived forever and now has superhuman abilities". All depends on whether it builds momentum in either direction after the announcement.

At the moment I'm principally looking for solid companies in LED technology that aren't Cree. LSCG is an oddball I kind of like, but I haven't made any concrete decisions. Might not be the right time yet.

how about PHG? maybe not a 'pure' LED play.

If they reach 33% over standard, it's going to be a very good day. Will it crash if they don't make it? Not unless they have to stop the trial.

Volume is moving today. Seems to have broke out around 12:30.

I don't even want to speculate...This should be a non-event statistically speaking, I am hoping to see:

better K-M curve.
a good surprises.
stock price hold up.

I think there will be some selling due to misread of K-M curve by some...How it will do in reality, we just don't know.

no idea with LYJN, but I had JOEZ on my radar screen when it was around $1.29 last year, lost track of it until recently, and now just waiting for an entry point around $2.25ish. If it doesn't get back down, then oh well just another boat missed, plenty of boats coming.

I jumped on it, but I don't usually put enough in to make anything back.

Your buddy was just lucky. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. They have no business, its a hollow shell trading on rumors and inneundo. But it sure is a tempting lottery ticket...as long as you dont get left holding the bag.

I know, but that amount of money he is making....damn! - I think he's up like $400k. Just put stop orders in along the way up and you're obviously fine at this point. I'm up 100% on this - Of course I might lose it later...but it's a fun ride!

What a lucky bastard he is. He dumped $100,000 (ya, he's got some cash from a recent buyout of our company....but still $100k is a lot fo money) at .03 - it's .17 now - he's up $466,666. Some poeple have all the luck -

Of course you know the next one he tries it on he'll lose 400%

That's some major luck...I hope he cashed out on his initial investment...I wish I had $100k to throw around

HT is just showing no signs of completely stopping the climb anymore.

Back when it was around $3, or maybe it was around $2.60, I sold half my shares. Really kicking myself right now for doing that. But I guess on the other hand, I'm glad I sold only half. Over 200% right now.
First long hold to reach that. Tomorrow will be exactly 1 year. It's nice to reach the better tax bracket for the stock.

I hope he got out now too. It's taking a huge dive.... .105 now. I got out earlier. I don't have much money to play with but pulled $400 out of it. I know, nothing to really brag about, but still made like 20% in 2 days.

Talk about a hard crash! It was up 133% today to .17, then all the rats left the ship and its DOWN 40% the same day to just .04!

Thats what people get for trading hollow shells with no reports, no statements, no nothing. People were crying because they tried to sell at .15 cents and couldnt get out until .05.

Sad. :'(

Ya, it's a huge game with those pump n dump penny stocks. I tried to get back in at .05 b/c it made a late day run up to about .08, but people kept disturbing me at my desk and I missed out - These things are basically play Vegas at this point with all the media and message boards of people pumping up the stock for no real reason.

"Overall survival is defined as the time from randomization until death from any cause, and is
measured in the intent-to-treat population. Survival is considered the most reliable cancer
endpoint, and when studies can be conducted to adequately assess survival, it is usually the
preferred endpoint. This endpoint is precise and easy to measure, documented by the date of death. Bias is not a factor in endpoint measurement. Survival improvement should be analyzed as a risk-benefit analysis to assess clinical benefit."

Should be self evident. Most people will compare TNFerade to other treatments that are now currently in the market. The partnership that should soon follow the data analysis will likely be the catalyst that will make the stock rise. As of right now they have no means of manufacturing or distributing it, and part of the FDA approval process is examining how the intend to manufacture and distribute it. Simple packaging and containment could delay a FDA approval, so this is why GenVec acquiring a reputable partner is crucial.

from a poster in yahoo mb, more confidential treatment filed. I've never seen a company with so many CT filings. This is either really really good or really really bad.
