I'm surprised to see that GGP has kept it's ~17 share price since the record date for the distribution of HHC shares has passed. I expected it to drop...

Ford and LVS are treating me well! Going to get out of my LVS options today for 1000% gains, then I'll be looking for a pullback. If you aren't looking at it, then I recommend it! Beast of a stock!

Ford also going quite well, broke out by passing the 15 range. Has probably run out of steam here at 16 unless some news comes out. Still for a long play this one has nice potential in my eyes.

I mostly trade options at the moment, and the gm ipo won't have those initially offered. I personally won't be touching it at all, and it could be a rather risky play. There's a lot of shares various governments are going to want to dump, so it could be rather volatile when it comes out. Might be fun for some flips, but I wouldn't go long on that one until it settles.

I don't like GM at the moment. Their Chevy Volt is just a very expensive hybrid. The only way it will sell is with the large government tax write-offs.

Is it unusual that the company is talking about selling itself without any potential buyers? Isn't it more typical to have news that a buyer is interested in acquiring a company.

Yup, I told you to "buy, buy, buy" @ $17 during the flash crash. It was still a bargain @ $24, etc. Easy double.

What shocked me was that I thought $30 would be the high for the year, not $50+

The pony tail guy on CNBC thinks MGM goes to $15 near term as people diversify away from LVS. It has rallied from the $11s to the $13s, but I havent been too tempted to load up on calls. Ive been burned too many times by this dog that is just limping along and not even profitable like LVS is, but the market has a short memory.

Yeah - it's doing nicely after the split. I tried to buy some more GGP yesterday but my broker doesn't know what symbol that is!

GGP is the 2nd largest mall operator, Simon is #1. most funds can't buy a company in bankruptcy, but they are just out of bankruptcy now...just look at this as an IPO. So if you are a financial/REIT/real estate related mutual fund manager, don't you think you ought to own some GGP now?

Tough to say at this point. However it just got a good upgrade, but market is crap now so it's just selling I assume. Mondays tend to be good days for LVS. I expect it to test 55 again sometime soon. As to where it bottoms, can't really say but I wouldn't expect much more. If so roughly 47.50 area, but that I feel would require something significant at this point.

I went to Belarus in September, Belgium and Germany in October and I'm leaving next week to Ukraine to spend Thanksgiving there.

Everything is the same regarding the stocks... it just takes time for things to develop. No reason to analyze on a daily basis unless something material comes out
