Official 2011 Fantasy Football Discussion Thread

We've got plenty of league threads, but I haven't seen a central discussion/strategy thread yet.

Who do you guys like or dislike this year?

I play in a 2qb ppr league with a few other minor unique settings. I've got no idea what to do in the first round. I find out what pick I have this week so maybe that will help.

I've done a few but in my main league we start 2qbs and have some other unique settings, so it's hard to get useful information.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what draft slot I want. 10 teams, so far 1, 2, 5, and 7 are gone. One guy ahead of me to pick, but I should have a fair amount of options. Not sure what to do

I had him last year and he helped me win. But you better have a decent back-up.

In a two QB league, you probably have to take a QB first overall, unless you are in a 12 man plus and drafting at the bottom where all the elite passers are gone.

Aaron Rogers or Michael Vick would be first but if it were me, I'd handcuff Vick with VY. Vick will be hurt at some point this season, guaranteed.

One of the latest ESPN mock drafts showed the top ten picks as:

8 RB's (AP going first)
1 QB (Vick)
1 WR (A. Johnson)

I'd take A. Rodgers over Vick, even though Vick was my MVP and won me my FF league championship.

In as 12 team league this year, really hope I get a good draft position somewhere in the middle of the pack. As mentioned above, I think I'd take Rogers over Vick. As far as RB goes, Peterson is rated #1 but I'm not sure I'd take him as the first RB off the board. I still think I'd take C. Johnson over him.

Yeah lol it got people good in both online auctions I was in last year.

I saw it work once in a mock, never in a true draft. I saw 2 people try it and both ended up wasting a roster spot because they bought him for $1 or in the other persons case, $20 because he was trying to sell it more.

Meh, I like to play the waiver game a lot so I wouldn't have a problem just releasing him for someone else at the end of Week #1 if I get stuck with him.

Absolutely no way in hell that happens.

Bradford is a sure thing with McDouchebag as his OC, not so much a "sleeper".

QBs on bad teams scare me though. I know they'll have to throw the ball to put points on the board because teams will score on them, and Bradford has already shown flashes, but if he's my #1 then I'd be worried. Solid #2 though if you can get him.

In a 2 QB league, you should have 3 QBs and 4 isn't a bad thing either. Bradford would be solid in a 2 QB league, and you would play matchups. All the division games pretty much you could start Sammy because that division blows

Do any of you know of a site that lets you plug in specifics about your league and generates a report based on those specifics? I have a good tool like that I use for baseball but nothing for football... and I'm in way too many football leagues of varying rules to feel like researching them all this year.

The Huddle lets you do that, but you gotta be a member. I think CBS might let you do it too actually but I could be wrong, The Huddle is a great FF site though and if you're in 3+ leagues it can really be an asset.
