This team is strong at RB, which is good because its the most important position - but weak everywhere else. Not good since its PPR. Reggie Wayne has been on the decline which I think continues this year, just a hunch because he could easily be a great WR1.

Cutler and McCoy is very weak, unfortunately. Based on the format I think you needed a stronger TE around too. Overall though, the RB spot might be strong enough if Cutler has a much better year. I foresee making the playoffs but losing 1st round.

This team is better, for sure - but Ingram as an RB2? You have to hope Thomas gets hurt or something because Bree's is going to be slinging the shit out of it this year. Daniel Thomas could be that RB2 if he picks it up, but otherwise, you have basically no RB2. TE is STRONG here. QB is good enough, and WR is very good. RB might not be strong enough on this team. I foresee missing the playoffs entirely.

I disagree with pretty much all of this except that cutler is weak, for the record.

I have the 3rd pick in a 12-team PPR league. 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, no flex

Assuming the first two picks are Peterson and Foster... who would you go with at 3?

I'm trying really hard not to be a homer, but Ray Rice makes the most sense to me at #3. If Chris Johnson gets his contract worked out before the season starts, would you pick him? What about Charles?

I'd take Ray Rice at #3, period.

A quick and decisive answer, if I've ever seen one. Thanks!

you cant go wrong with either CJ or rice. personal preference i say here though i'd probably go rice unless something changes soon about CJ. either guy assuming he plays the full season is going to get you 1st round numbers and can be called a safe pick.

I like Rice there too. I like rice more than AP, so careful if you are assuming that AP will be taken top 2 in a ppr. I'd take CJ over AP as well.

Second round you gotta hope there will be a legit receiver left

If you take Foster's injury into account, I would take Rice #1 overall in a PPR league. Follow that up with Foster and then Peterson, and then your personal choice of JC, CJ or MJD for #4, etc. Even then, there's a few WRs to consider in the top 10 of a PPR draft.

Yeah, Rnd 2 and 3 picks will most likely be receivers, unless someone that I can't pass up falls to me. Hope there's some good pickins left...

from what I've seen, all the value sheets way way way undervalue the actual results, so they aren't very useful
definitely agree, was hoping someone might have found a decent one

i usually take a few different ones and tweak the numbers a bit to bring them more in line with reality and also put some personal bias into it. here's my top 50 (with price range) at this point with a 12 team league $200 cap:

two backup TEs and a backup DEF are not needed. I think you're team should be decent though. Amendola won't be your starter in a non-ppr though. But Manningham probably will be good enough, and you have a shot with Mike Thomas. Borderline playoff team I'd guess

His league has a disgustingly huge bench. There's no reason NOT to have 2 backup TE and DST.

For a 10 team league you are miserably shallow in the RB position. That roster would be weak even in a 12 team league.

how many teams? qb is average- not top 7 but servicable. rb- ok group but not spectacular mostly because i'm not a big turner fan. i do like the bench of jacobs and mcgahee though. either could turn in good results. wr- best position group you got. wallace/holmes are good and have good potential to turn in top wr points. stevie's gonna have to prove himself as a #1 wr without anyone on the other side. jury's out on ocho but he's in a good position and looks to become much better later in the season.

i'd say 12 teamer it's average, you'll need some work on waiver wire. 10 teamer and it's kinda bad methinks.

did my work league draft a few nights ago. wish all my leagues were like this standard scoring

qb: romo, kolb
rb: AP, Marshawn lynch, pierre thomas, brandon jacobs, javon ringer (drop candidate now)
wr: nicks, vincent jackson, steve johnson, ocho cinco, mike williams-sea
te: gates
def- roto - will pickup/drop whomever seems best that week
k- bryant

only weak spot is rb#2. not sold on lynch and would have gotten both him and hightower on the snake wraparound (#1 pick) but hightower was taken just before me.

Interesting to see the differences in the couple common players I have. Santana Moss is starting on my second team and in the first league he was only $4.

I made some mistakes last night and it didn't go as well as it could have in hindsight, but I can live with it. I feel a lot better about doing auctions in the future

I went front-loaded and paid for it in the back end.

Snatch and Jerk
QB Drew Brees 38
RB Ray Rice 75
RB Cedric Benson 11
RB/WR Tim Hightower 16
WR DeSean Jackson 34
WR Kenny Britt 10
TE Kellen Winslow 6
D/ST Falcons D/ST 1
K Jason Hanson 1
BE Jabar Gaffney 1
BE Ben Tate 2
BE Kevin Kolb 2
BE Darren Sproles 2
BE Steve Breaston 1
Total: 200
Remaining: 0

My notes from the board:
- I went all out for Rice. It hurt me in the later rounds, especially with WRs.
- I'm surprised I got Brees as cheap as I did.
- I paid more than I wanted to for Hightower, but he's a feature back and - looked strong in preseason.
- I wasn't even trying to get DeSean Jackson... go figure. He wasn't even on my list for WR's this season.
- Britt went higher than I hoped.
- Winslow wasn't my first choice for TE, but at $6 was a steal. Especially since the TE's taken AFTER Winslow kept getting pushed into the $20's
- Kolb for $2 is a steal. Potential sleeper if Harbaugh can get shit figured out in a hurry.
- Gaffney is my sleeper this year. He's had a strong and unrecognized preseason, getting more targets than Moss has.
- Tate could be in for some major points the first few weeks, and potentially all season. The way the Texans go through running backs like toilet paper... I'm not counting him out from starting all season long.
