im wondering the same exact thing. my current WRs are Steve Smith, Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, and Robert Meachem. Looking to drop Meachem

Assuming that all of those choices mesh with your bye weeks, I'd go Breaston. Bowe is blowing it up recently and will attract tons of attention on defense. I think Breaston picks it up for the rest of the year. Plus, Cassel seems to finally be out of his early-season funk.

good analysis. thanks. I didnt think of it from that angle. picked up Breaston for Meachem. Now my starters are White, Smith, and Marshall with ESPN projecting 15, 15, 14 respectively for them. Breaston is sitting on my bench with 11pt projection. We all know how wrong the ESPN projections can be. Im wondering if I should start Breaston instead of one of the other 3.

Stick with your starters. They're all #1 WRs on their teams, Breaston is a #2.

BUT!

Breaston's matchup with OAK is very juicy. OAK has the 28th-ranked pass defense by AVG yards per game, last place in passing TDs per game. I would say if you think the team you're playing this week in fantasy looks like it might kick your ass, maybe get cute with who you start.

Stick with your WRs, replace Bush with Sproles.

oh yea, I was planning benching Bush. But I was considering starting McGahee. This is only my sophomore year in FF and since I'm not familiar with all the players and teams yet, I usually go by ESPN projections. But that's not the right strategy either since my team never performs as well as projected.

I feel ya, everyone starts out that way.

To give an example of how stupid ESPN's projections are...

Sproles averages 11.7 points per game. He's going against one of the worst run defenses in the league. ESPN projects him to get 8 points. WUT.

What do you guys think of these two teams of mine?

Team 1:

HOpefully this image isn't huge, if so I'll take it down. I'd like to make some trades and upgrade my team. My RB's are solid, but my QB's are weak, and past Welker my WR's are iffy. I'm Onita. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't really trade often, so I'm kinda clueless about it :\ I'm 5-1 at the moment, but my bench often scores HUGE. I'm thinking of trying to pick up either Stafford, Brees, or Rivers?

PPR

team records are as follows:

Ahfungoos - 4-2
Buttkickers - 4-2
Clearwater - 3-3
Cleveland - 2-4
D & D - 0-6
Guiness - 2-4
Jane - 4-2
Psycho - 4-2
Pig - 2-4

Bump. Thinking of offering a few different trades.

Fitz/Ryan + AP + Nelson for Brees + Rice (doubt she'll trade)
Fitz/Ryan + MJD for Rivers + Austin.
Something similar for Stafford + McCoy/Bradshaw?

I'm thinking of unloading Roddy White before his value drops further. Think it's a fair trade for Beanie Wells?

ESPN is terrible. Never listen to them. In fact, you'll have a higher chance of success moving counter to their advice.

real question: I know KC isn't quite as shitty as we thought they were, but I need to decide on starting Cassel or Palmer this week (due to bye for Brady).

I have Bowe, too, so I like that play, and I'm not really liking Palmer for his first start.

Anyone?

Fantasy show on NFL network were talking up Cassel - take it for what it's worth. Saying without a strong running game expect to see lots of passing.

Only time I listen to them is Sunday mornings when I watch their Fantasy Football Now show. They usually have breaking injury updates which has saved me a couple of times from starting someone that is sitting for the day. Other than that, they are complete junk.

shitty run game tends to mean weak passing game. :\

Though Bowe has been lighting it up the last couple of weeks, I worry that his production will decline.

Still, he was lighting it up last year. I'd think defenses, if they were going to tune in to him, would have done that before this season.

This will be the first week that I get to see them play. I'm rather interested in watching how Palmer performs, too.

Palmer sure is tempting:

Carson Palmer (plus-9 points)
This is purely speculation, but one can't help but wonder how much of Oakland's decision to start Palmer a mere five days after trading for him was based on a quasi-preseason tuneup against Kansas City this week. According to our metrics, the Chiefs own the 31st-ranked pass defense in the NFL. In terms of fantasy points, the Chiefs have allowed 20 in three of their five games and have allowed an average of 18 in their past two games against Donovan McNabb and Curtis Painter.

I bolded the more relevant information.

that does look good--but as good as Palmer can be, I have to assume he's rusty. Oakland isn't great against the pass, either, and I do have Bowe on my team as well.

decisions, decisions...

Honestly...it doesn't really matter. my opponent this week is devestated by byes--he's got 7 starters on bye, with his top offensive threats playing: Jennings, T Gonzalez, and Flacco. I can probably just leave Brady in. (we do IDP, so that's 7 on bye out of 18 man teams).

Also, I've got Bolden, so any love Flacco sends Bolden's way is pretty much nullified for my opponent.
he's hosed.

Jerome Harrison has brain tumor

Detroit - who just traded for him - is left with Maurice Morris, Keiland Williams, and possibly Stefan Logan (who normally has return duties) for Sunday's game since Jahvid Best is out because of a concussion last week.

Someone in my league picked up Morris already, but I picked up Keiland Williams. Do you think Williams would be worth starting in the flex position in a 14 team league?

Which D/ST?

CLE vs. SEA
NO vs. IND

I guess the better question is: Which offense sucks more? SEA or IND? That's a barn-burner right there...
