Didnt like A-Gon leaving but I understood why he had to go. Anyways he's 2-2 with 3 RBI's in his Red Sox debut.

Guys I dont watch baseball at all but I joined my friends MLB league cause he needed someone to fill a spot. I got 1st overall and decided to actually play this thing. Anything I should change from my lineup? Some guy told me to pick up Wainwright, but he screwed me over since he's out indefinitely. Also what about this Betancourt guy?? Should I keep him or not, apparently hes some great rookie or something.

Whoever told you to pick up Wainwright is a dick. He had Tommy John surgery and won't be back until perhaps close to the middle of 2012. And this was known EARLY in Sprint Training.

Betancourt is decent. And I'm being nice. He's not terrible by any means and I suppose it's possible he has a breakout season but no one in my Fantasy leagues drafted him this year and to be honest I dont think he's a danger in any league to be drafted unless they're related to him or something.

Also I'd put Beckham in to replace Kelly Johnson. Johnson isnt bad but he strikes out quite often and only puts up decent numbers whereas Beckham is one of the White Sox's prized prospects expected to improve his numbers and with plenty of upside. In fact he had 3 hits in todays game and scored on all 3 of those hits so he's already showing flashes of what he is capable of. With some pretty big bats behind him in the line-up he's going to be a nice table-setter for the middle of that line-up.

LOL at the White Sox trying to give this game away... luckily they had a 14-0 lead before giving up 9 runs...

edit: wtf, its 15-10 White Sox over Indians... white sox were up 14-0...

Yea, I dropped Wainwright. And how does the pitching work? None of my pitchers have played, yet their team has...

Got part of my M's opener prediction right, that is the A's scored 2 runs. However, M's scored 6 and Felix pitched a complete game FTW. Felix allowed only 5 hits and no walks on 108 pitches. Very efficient once he got through the first couple of innings. All of the east coast baseball fans probably don't get to see Felix pitch very often, hell the game started @ 10:00 PM eastern time, and just ended a little while ago.

Never lived in the east, but I tell you it sure is nice having games start @ 10:00 AM on Sundays during the NFL season, and 1:00 east coast baseball games start @ 10:00 AM as well. I don't really care about the east coast espn bias talk, but as to watching sports it would seem that the Pacific time zone has it better. Am I missing something to this rather inconsequential topic, as I said I never have lived back east so I can only infer by adding 3 hours.

I watched the first five innings, MLB XTRA Innings should be free for everyone (this week I think?) that has cable, FYI.

Felix and Cahill pitched very well, Ichiro just had a monster night... the M's live and die by that guy for wins.

Hopefully Justin Smoak (main acquisition in the Cliff Lee trade) will develop into his full potential as well. Ichiro can only get into scoring position so much, he needs others to drive him in. M's lineup is so weak, ugh.

Yeah kinda shitty, but I'll take a win. Still a lot of season left to judge their pitching staff just yet.

Phils clobber a fairly good pitcher in Wandy Rodriquez, pound out 14 hits overall, and win 9-4.

Yay!

Still, it's fool's gold, as a couple of fielding issues, one of which was not tabulated as an error, rear their ugly heads. This is the thing about the 162 game MLB schedule. You can't run and you can't hide. You may get away with team holes for a full half a season, sometimes even more, but never, ever for the full season.

The only way this series plays out positively for the Phillies is if they sweep the Dis-Astros, a team and a franchise that is currently rocked back on their collective heels.

Winning 2 out of 3 won't cut it, it's what they should have won, at a minimum.

As a fan, I hope the Phil's starting rotation leads them to the promised land, but as a true fan, I remain skeptical.

Short term results are fine. Yippee. Long term, I retain my doubts.

Just sayin'.

It depends on their spot/day in the rotation. You'll know what days they pitch when you see the "^" next to the game time. Go ahead a few days by clicking the date above and move pitchers accordingly from the bench to a starting position on those days. You also want to keep relief pitchers (RP under their names) in the rotation as they can come in on pretty much any game.

To hell with that criminal K-Fraud. I love Willie Harris. Beltran looks ok in right field which is good in case a team needs his services later in the year (if he stays healthy that is...and thats a huge IF).

Yanks GM said the Mets abused Pedro Feliciano. If thats the case why did you give him a 2 year deal you dope.

Rangers are off to a good start, dropped 21 runs on the Redsox in two games and take 2-0 lead, going for the sweep tomorrow. GO RANGERS!!!

Tied with the M's, as silly as it is to point that out with 160 games remaining. M's did beat the inter division A's on the road, while Rangers have beat the Red Sox, a much better team, at home. All good wins really.

Followed by a blast by Ben "I left your fastball in San" Fransisco. 4-0 Phils.

In sports news: Only two games into the 2011 MLB season and the Oakland A's mythos that they are a "second half" team and "everyone knows this" is still alive and raging according to Baseball scientists and AL West experts. This phenomena shows no signs of letting up this season in internet forums after the A's lost their opening two games to the Seattle Mariners. Back to you Bob.

mets are off to nice start this year, leading 4-0 today and won yesterday

Unfortunately for them, they're still in the same division as the Phils.

Mets are looking good against Florida, more important than the Phils looking good against Houston to be honest.

I think if the Phils fail to make the playoffs, it will be due to a combination of lack of offense and the Braves having a great year. However, I think the Phillies chances of winning the World Series are greater than winning their division, if that makes sense. In a 7 game best of, their pitching will be maximized.

Yeah, as a Phils fan I don't fear the Mets or really even the Marlins. If anyone takes the division away from the Phils it'll be the Braves, imho.

their i fixed it for you. only thing that can beat the phillies this year is themselves. they have some key players that are getting older.
