Nope, no cable. And I can't watch on the computer through mlb.com because they black it out (because I'm supposed to watch on cable). What a crock of shit.

You should be able to get live local radio even if it's blacked out no? Like I said, I didn't get to see my game either because it wasn't on TV here and it was blacked out on MLB.tv but they did broadcast the radio feed for me.

Daaam mlb.tv is really rocking this year. Last couple years it sucked and I canceled for a refund.

This year though, have it in the living room on my ps3, bedroom with Samsung WiFi blu-ray player, and the game room with Samsung tv built in widget.

3 dvrs for baseball without paying rental fees for 3 boxes from FIOS, and its cheaper than xtra innings.

Only thing that sucks is I hear it blows on smartphones. Oh well, hopefully when I upgrade during next season, that too will be handled.

For some reason my feeds BLOW on my PS3 this year. Terrible compression artifacting, a lot of skipping/freezing. It's pretty awful.

You don't have cable TV? Just wondering what your issue with the blackout rule is? I can't say I'm a huge fan either, as I'd much rather watch my local feed than the national coverage, but at least I can still listen to my local audio even during a TV blackout. Last weekend my Phillies game wasn't on the air because Fox was showing the NYY/BOS game instead, but like I said, at least I got local audio so I could listen to the radio broadcast. Not too bad really.

Yeah I only buy the radio and put it on while working. For $20 a year with no blackouts, it's worth it to me.

For whatever reason, baseball goes better on the radio (alone) than any other sport.

I also love the mix of a game on TV, muted, with kick-ass music playing, while you, Mr. Nerdity-Nerd-Nerd, are busy pleasuring yourself on the couch . . . which in this case involves arguing with the other nerds on AT through your lappy -- touching yourself being optional.

Yeah, I get radio.. .but that's not watching the game.... I do like baseball on the radio, but its not as good as watching live.

I'd say the quality of the video on the ps3 mlb.tv is worse than my samsung tv and blu-ray player with mlb.tv. Still doesn't look too bad on a 55" LED LCD though.

The customizable highlights you can L1/R1 through are amazing, it's like having a remote control to Baseball Tonight. Wish my tv and br player had similar features instead of just "jump to inning".

Haven't experienced any freezing/skipping at all this season, yet. In fact that was the reason I canceled last season, was constantly buffering on a wired 30mbps connection on my pc.

Today's game has been near perfect so far, so maybe whatever issues I was having are over with for the season.

Just another superb night for the Metropolitans. <sigh> stinky! They'll play a doubleheader tomorrow against the Rockies and I'm sure they'll get swept because they are the Mets..dammit.

It's ok, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Oh, and I have the Mets finishing ahead of the Nats so at least they won't be in last.

holy hell the Mets were just abysmal during the first homestand. Poor pitching, shoddy defense, tons of k's at the plate. Doesn't help that they got raped by Tulowitzki.

Tulo torches Mets

"Tulowitzki had by far the biggest performance of any player since Citi Field opened in 2009. He homered in each game during the Rockies' four-game series sweep. The previous record was three straight games with a homer by the Mets' David Wright (Sept. 19-29, 2010), the D-backs' Mark Reynolds (July 31-Aug. 3, 2009) and the Mets' Gary Sheffield (May 13-26, 2009).

To boot, Tulowitzki went 10-for-16 (.625) with five runs, a double, four walks and eight RBIs. He also made a signature defensive play -- a backhand stab and jump throw to retire Daniel Murphy at a key moment in the series opener."

I also like hockey (Flyers, Caps) on the radio but it moves too fast to really give you an accurate pic of what's happening. The announcer has to talk at a pretty fast rate.

lmao yup... especially since my night classes involve a computer as well as work. Oh, and I like playing the occasional computer game in my downtime as well hehehe.

Yup Tulo destroyed the Mets. Meanwhile, rival Phillies get two complete game gems from Halladay and Lee, the first time since Byrd/Schilling in 1999. Ruiz is batting .351 and trying to prove saberheads wrong who said he would come back to earth this year.

The Yankees need to fire their hitting coach and hire someone who knows how to scout. Freaking rookie and sophomore pitchers with average stuff go out there and make it look like the Yankees are a Single-A club facing Nolan fucking Ryan.

Every time they face a pitcher they've never seen or haven't seen often, they make the guy look like a freaking genius. It's been this way since their current hitting coach started. Needs to stop.

Thankfully, A-Rod's having a monster April.

I love Chooch! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy who suddenly thinks he's a first-tier hitter, but I do think there's some evidence that he's one of those guys who's managed to figure out the elusive science of hitting a bit later in life.

Chooch ain't no stat king and never will be, but he IS one of those fundamentally solid complimentary players manning a crucial position who is the kind of guy that helps make good teams great.

He's also an all-around, "no holes in his game" defensive catcher at what is one of the 2-3 most important defensive positions in the game, along with SS and CF, imho.

Defensively, again, probably none of his stats will pop out at you but he handles every phase of the position well, and by all accounts, is a hard-working student of the game who calls a great game and is universally loved and trusted by his pitchers.

Cholly has always loved Chooch, and THIS, his early-on recognition of Chooch, is yet another reason why I defer to and acknowledge the deep baseball-lifer goodness and wisdom of Mr. Mumbles!

Yeah Chooch is just a great, solid catcher. He posted higher WAR value last year than Buster Posey and Victor Martinez. Considering that Martinez just signed a 4yr/50 mil contract vs Chooch's 3/8il, it's amazing what he's done. Only Mauer and McCann were better overall because of their bats, and Chooch is better defensively than both of those two.

Oswalt looked good but hope it's nothing serious (strained back, muscle spasm). He was owning FL until the spasms kicked in.

And of course Phat Albert with 3 blasts in 2 days. Ruh roh.
