The Yankees do not look good this year. I'm not stoked.
we'll be fine. Still have a stacked offense, CC will be good, someone else will step up.

luis got dumped by phillies too, seems he disappeared for 48 hours opening day is finally here!!Mets dump Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez. GREATEST OFFSEASON EVER!
..ok maybe not but I'm happy they are gone.
Go Giants! Humm BABY!
Maybin hits a game-tying homer in the 9th and then gets the hit that leads to the winning run to come across the plate. And then leaves with a knee injury. :/
Ohh yes! But last year was such a bummer for me T.T. I also refuse to go to any dodgers game @ my beloved dodgers stadium, as long as the Bostonian McCourt still owns the Dodgers. First off, it's blasphemous that anyone from Boston should be owning an LA team. Second, his divorce settlement ruined the team last year. I dislike the guy, and dislike his wife even more. SIGH...
Good thing I can still watch the Dodgers @ the nice Petco Park when they come into town .
GO DODGERS!!! (goes to corner and cries :'( )
Are you back in town for a bit Dan? I have season tix and even took an ATOT member (rockyct) to a game last season. If so and I have a spare ticket to a Pads/Dodgers game I'll let you know as long as you dont mind sitting next to me wearing my "L.A"ME t-shirt.
I ship out again in mid-May.. I just came back about 2 weeks ago from a nearly 5-month globe-trotting misadventure (work).
But ya dude, let me know!!! hahaha. LOL @ tshirt. Arg, the best I can find from googlefu is a boring "padres suck" t-shirt ()
I am excited for another miserable season as a Cubs fan.
Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday will undergo an appendectomy today.
Holliday, who hit a solo home run in the opener, went home after the 5-3 extra-inning loss to the Padres and began feeling pain.
The procedure will be performed this afternoon by Dr. Chris Eagon of the Washington University medical staff.
The team did not set out a timetable for Holliday's return, but in general, recovery time is generally 4 to 6 weeks before any "strenuous activity" can begin.
In 2010, Holliday was the only National League outfielder to finish in the top 10 in batting average (.312), on-base percentage (.390) and slugging percentage (.532).
This spring, Holliday hit .345 and got off to a strong start in Thursday's opener, going 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs.
Without Holliday, the Cardinals have four outfielders on the current roster: Colby Rasmus, Lance Berkman, John Jay and Allen Craig.
No decision has been made on a roster move.

hope the astros can hold on and beat the phillies!!
