Just picked up another 100 shared of Ford myself for my IRA. This convinced me:
"Ford Motor Co. reported Friday an unexpected drop in fourth-quarter earnings as a result of rising costs in North America, a loss in Europe and special charges related to debt-reduction measures."

The special charges to me looks like they are planning a big 2011.

Can someone give me some sub 5 dollar stocks to look into?? I don't know where to start

SD is at $7.

PEDH is up to $2. Have been debating buying this one at $1. Even yesterday I thought about it. Damn thing is up 100% today.

Why $5?

$5 used to be the minimum to what brokers could sell, anything under was considered a "penny stock" and was OTC or pink sheets. With the advent of computer trading of pink sheet stocks and brokerage firms that sell everything, there really aren't penny or untraded stocks anymore. Nomenclature has changed but my guess is he means penny stocks, OTC stocks or "pink sheet" stocks.

Super happy. In 20% cash and we have a down day finally. I hope the market drops 10% more but this is a nice start. A few more up days and I was goin to consider being 50% in cash.

Hoping to get more SD and LEE stock.

MSFT may be a good buy right now. Solid earnings but down 4%; hard to tell where it's moving today because of Egypt.

My entire portfolio, both financials and tech are down 2%-ish. I checked everything at 1pm and couldn't figure out why everything across the board was down. Oh ya, Egypt is burning...

I wish. Could be Prem Watsa from Fairfax. Fairfax already holds over 10% of the common. Just under 10% of my worth is in SD. I will happily double that if it drops to the mids $5s. For now, I sit and watch.

Been eyeing Ford for a bit, and curious to hear thoughts on the May Calls. April Calls would be too soon to reach the next Earnings report. Here are the ask prices and strikes I am considering:

15.00 2.02
14.00 2.73

Never really played with options before, but these look like decent plays.. Anyone care to comment? That $15 call is what I would probably buy....
