Which of butler's calls are you suggesting he didn't deserve? I didn't seen any erroneous calls. Wade's calls were probably low, but aren't why the heat lost.

There will always be 50-50 calls. Usually the home team gets favor on both ends on those calls. I don't think that is right, but it happens with a staggering majority of time. When you see a home team shoot less FTs it is almost always when there is a huge difference in aggression between the teams. The shot chart shows that wasn't the case, and in fact the Heat had a slight advantage in paint shots, especially in the restricted area.

In quite a few cases the contact that was called on one end wasn't called on the other. Like I've said a few times, you shouldn't see the FT disparity between Robinson/Butler and Lebron/Wade given how much each were in the paint. 20 to 9 is a huge difference.

If the Heat hit their open shots at anywhere near their normal average then that FT disparity doesn't impact the game. That didn't happen so it suddenly became a huge factor. When you have friendly officiating like that, you need to take the game. The Bulls did.

All I'm saying is that they won't have that good fortune often.

Dwayne Wade can never complain again about the refs again after the 06 Finals.

He has always annoyed me, especially when he gives up 4-6 points a game while complaining about calls. Though during their win streak he pretty much stopped that. Coincidence? I think not.

Anyway, despite his penchant for whining about calls, his shooting 0 FTs on a night when Robinson and Butler were each shooting 10 is just silly.

Wade and Lebron weren't nearly as aggressive going to the hole as I'm used to seeing them, especially wade. I know they will fix that in game 2. I don't know if he's ever not gotten the benefit of the doubt at home like that too, but it's a nice change because he gets so many bs calls by jumping into players in the lane legs first. Game 2 they are going to go after Noah and Robinson more. They are the bulls emotional engines.

I respect Spoelstra - he'll make adjustments to disrupt the bulls offense. I think they were simply caught off guard by the sets and efficiency. No hero ball (except maybe a one 1 vs. 4 drive by robinson that got blocked by Bosh. )

Word is CP3 is very displeased with DelNegro, and was struggling to get along with Griffin late in the season. I think he is in play.

Yeah after the Deron debacle I don't put much faith in the pie in the sky stuff. A Dirk/CP3 combo could make some awesome basketball. Probably the second best 1/2 combo right behind Lebron/Wade imo.

I didn't get to watch the game as I was out playing basketball myself. If I had to guess I'm guessing the Bulls controlled the paint with their big men? The heat are very vulnerable against good big men.

So you don't buy that DWill was into the idea of playing with the Mavs until Cuban didn't show up for the meeting?

I'd be shocked if Del Negro is with the clips next year. Paul is their priority to resign much moreso than del negro.

The Heat had 8 blocks versus 3 for the Bulls. FWIW.

I actually missed the first half too. The bulls destroyed the heat on the boards in the 2nd half, especially in the deciding 4th quarter. It was a key factor, but they also took advantage of their opportunities better than the heat. A few plays end up differently here and there and the outcome could have been different.

It was a huge mistake by Cuban. I was pissed when I heard about it but I really think Deron was looking for reasons to sign with Brooklyn. His mom would come on local sports talk radio and say that when Deron lived here in the offseason he'd constantly be hounded by "friends" from his old neighborhood. When I heard that I knew he wouldn't come here. That and his wife loves it in Brooklyn.

Mike D'Antoni should coach the clipps, lol. They would be playing in round 2 with him.

Heat and Spurs both go down from being off for so long. Don't want to attribute it only to rust as I'm sure there was some but the opposing teams just out hustled them.

Baby face doing it again. One of the few players in the league that just makes you laugh when he hits another one. They go out and guard him behind the 3pt line and he just goes around the defense for a layup. He makes it look so easy, lol.

Actually most of his 3s haven't been contested.
