Memphis draggin ass in OT, can't get an offensive rebound to save their life, and seem afraid of the circle when tossing in free throws.

Spurs big 3 = 54% from the field for 69 points
Memphis big 3 = 37% from the field for 50 points

Can we chill out now all this talk about Gasol being the best big in the league now?

Biggest mistake Memphis is making is trying to keep Randolph as the #1.

OT: The Blake Griffin Kia commercials have got to be the most stupid commercials currently running on TV. Hell, I feel more dumb just watching them and can't imagine why Kia is willing to pay so much for those truly dumb commercials.

Now: Go Spurs!

It makes sense with their target audience.

Spurs kicked ass tonight. Although I would have been surprised if they didn't. Memphis depends heavily on Gasol and Randolph, in the first 2 games it became pretty evident that they were not gonna be able to do anything against Spurs, so the chances of them winning the series was very slim. tonight when they took almost 20 points lead my wife started freaking out and I said did you notice Randolph and Gasol's contribution? we have nothing to worry about, this game will be ours.

2013 is an odd year :hmm:

so was 2003 and 2009 and 2011...

In a level playing field I would be very optimistic, but against a team that is paying such a heavy luxury tax... I am very skeptical. It is unfair, it should be illegal..

Spurs did a great job cloggin up the paint the entire game. The Memphis bigs never could get settled into any rhythm. Randolph was constantly doubled and his deficiency in height came into play.. Gasol played away from the basket the entire game - this was a mistake because Spurs don't have anyone besides Duncan that can really guard him down in the post.

I would've had Gasol down low, instead of having him roam the high post, spread the rest of team out and worked an inside-out game on offense.

Big ups to Bonner tonight.. lol

No one had the Spurs going up 3-0 in the series. Literally every sports person on TV the past couple days chose Memphis to come back in win. Oddly enough it's almost like the Spurs were the underdogs having already won the first two games!

I've seen very little of the Grizzlies the entire season so didn't know what to think of them. They are done for now, though.

Anyhow I predicted a Spurs/Heat finals back on March 13th and that's certainly the way things are looking now. I know Heat/Pacers both won a game but it would be a huge shocker if the Heat went down to the Pacers.

I have to admit that I expected the Spurs to drop game 3. I was figuring a 5 game series and expected game 3 to be the loss. I still am expecting a 5 game series, but I'm more 50/50 on it now. Could also be a sweep.

Heat are at best the second best team left in the playoffs. I put them behind San Antonio and possibly the pacers although the pacers and heat are a hairs width of each other.

Happy days ahead indeed.

I do think the heat beat the pacers but it would not shock me to see the pacers win. Mark it down Paul George is the real deal.
Here was my prediction before the series started. I still lean towards the heat winning but just barely. I'll go on record saying the heat do not repeat this year. Lose to the spurs in 6. Thats assuming they make it to the finals.

It's not anywhere as bad as the "Shoe" commercial with some guy babbling on about a giant shoe, quick, speed, the shoes, he be quick, the shoes...wtf?

Agreed, not sure why Adidas would limit their client base to people with golden tooth cap...

I don't know how you could put a team that is 48-4 in their last 52 games in 2nd or 3rd place out of the 4 teams remaining. The Heat are definitely the favorites as they have been all season. They don't have to be your favorite team, but they are for sure the favorites to win it all. How they'll handle that pressure we shall see!

I was wondering how I could elevate my games of HORSE in the parking lot after work. It's these damned non-Adidas shoes I have. They've been holding me back.

Have you been watching the playoffs? They walked thru the 1st 2 teams while everyone else had series that were close and went 6-7 games.

To be fair, the Spurs cruised through the first round as well (sweeping the Lakers), and the west coast is much, much deeper than the east. The Bucks and a Bulls team that's riddled with injury doesn't compare to the Lakers and the Warriors, and the Heat are having their struggles against the Pacers while the Spurs are handling the Grizzlies quite decidedly. I disagree with oilfield about the Heat (I think they're clearly the best team right now), but the Spurs have been playing their quiet brand of winning basketball just as convincingly as anyone this postseason.

The heat aren't as good as many think they are. Wade is hobbled by hIs bum knee more than he's willing to let on. He's manning up and not complaining and still trying to go in bursts, but clearly isn't as effective as a healthy wade would be. That's huge imo.

This seems to be a post season affected quite a bit by who's healthy and who's not, moreso than most years. Who would have thunk the spurs would be one of the healthiest playoff teams.

That bum knee may hand San Antonio the final piece of its Odd Number destiny...

Pacers played a perfect game in game 2. They need perfection to win, down by 8 right now.

You mean the same Lakers who literally made the last playoff spot because another team LOST their last game? The Lakers were by far the worst team to make the playoffs. The west might be deeper, but the Lakers & Warriors aren't exactly good examples. The Heat would sweep both of them with ease imo.
