WTF, so many posts talking about LBJ's weight! Who cares?

Tony Parker is an absolutely amazing player. It's crazy how he never gets brought up in "best point guard" discussions.

I agree... who cares how big he is...

The thing about the Spurs is they play as a team....

The Heat have 3 players... well really 2 because Bosh hasnt done shit realy all year....and Wade is injury prone...

Lebron is a damn good player, but its going to take alot more than him to beat the spurs..... .Pop is one hell of a coach and can make the adjustments during the game hands down

This discussion quickly went through the absurd off ramp into redonkulous.

There's 1600 posts in this thread. If a few posts between games discussing James' weight is too many for you, guess who's going to have to get creative and figure out a way to deal with it?

Parker's midrange game has really improved. When he's hitting that he's almost impossible to guard. His effortless bounce passes threaded out of the pick and roll were very nash-esque too. And last night, 40 minutes with no turnovers.

Parker > Chris Paul.

(but I'd take a healthy derrick rose over parker.)

Because he plays in San Antonio

To be fair it really hasn't been his team until the last few years. Now with the other guys slowing down he's taken the reins. I think this year he's starting to get the recognition but he's been other worldly for a few years now.

I didn't really care to watch the finals.

As long as Heat loses.

Based on the highlights I didn't miss much anyways....

Aside from Parker's shot at the end there weren't many highlights reel moments, but it was a good game. Very close the entire time and not a lot of fouls.

Not many highlights but it was very intense watching Miami start to run away with the score and then SA pull it back in. Miami run away. SA pull it back in. That happened a good 4 or 5 times and eventually SA not only pulled it back in, but gave a good little shove and got up by 5 points with about 2 minutes left.

Then Green fouled one of the best FT shooters in the history of the game while shooting a three pointer and some nail biting started to happen. Game got real interesting in those final couple minutes.

Overall though, it was a fairly low turnover (4 team TO's for SA!),and very little drama or chippy play. SA is just far too disciplined to get up in other teams faces and shittalk like a play ground baller.

Speaking of Allen I swear I heard one of the announcer's last night say something like his career 3pt % was like "89" or something lol, I feel like I must have missed part of that sentence.

Also is there any 'official' stream for the finals? I was quite happy watching the playoffs on TNT's Overtime, but had to resort to a 'third party' last night. And it looked and streamed like shit ><

Nonsense. They've won four titles together. Tim Duncan is regarded by many as one of if not the best power forward of all time. Being in San Antonio has nothing to do with it.

Eh. San Antonio is about as low key as a team can get. They aren't in a major market. Their best player isn't even in a commercial..or at least a national one. Unlike Lebron or Dwade that have mountains of deals. There's no hype or drama surrounding the Spurs. They didn't have a major media event announcing their free agency hires. They didn't have the superbest friend team of allstars get up and make blabbering preposterous claims about the number of championships they'd bring to the Riverwalk. They just go about their business, quietly sweep series, move on to the next team. There's no whining, celebrating, ego management, ect.

It has everything to do with it - and considering I'm from San Antonio and lived there for over 20 years, I know quite a bit about it. Duncan might be regarded as the GPFOAT, but he's often ignored. If you watched the game last night, you didn't realize how many points he had until the 4th quarter.

I'm more excited for game 2 than I was for gm1. Granted i'm rooting for Spurs.

The series is now the Spurs to lose. Clearly a better team from coaching to execution of fundamentals.

Wild card for them will be a non Lebron catching sustained fire for the heat in consecutive games.

ABC is airing the finals as always.

dennis rodman keeping it real!

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/9353089/dennis-rodman-says-lebron-james-average-played-90s

definitely disagree with him about lebron being average, since that would mean 1/2 the players are better than him, which is no way in hell true, but i do agree with him about all the crying going on in the nba now a days. everyone now a days thinks that they should end the game with 0 fouls. well not everyone, but everyone on the heat does.

I would take Bosh out of his damn game easy. That's not even a problem.

haha, it would be cringe-worthy watching Rodman fold Bosh's mind up like a paper football and then kick it.

I hate how every time an old famous coach/player says something it's a headline. Phil Jackson has been terrible about that lately. We get it, you still want attention.

Jackson has been an attention whore lately, intentionally. You've been hearing a lot about him because he's been on every show promoting a new book. If you've heard a lot about what he's had to say, he's doing it right.
