once hernandez comes back from injury, gronk will be brady option again, but don't know how long Aaron Hernandez will be out.

He has a cast and was seen using one of those leg scooter things. That's not a good sign. I'm thinking we'll be lucky to see him playing by November.

Who the hell is CIN WR Andrew Hawkins? Dude's got solid numbers and I need to drop IND TE Fleener. Seems a good pickup on waiver.

Just have to hope he gets a long bomb - which is possible when you line up opposite of AJ Green.

That can work well if they focus on Greene. In my 14 man league I want to pick him up. That or Heath Miller. I gotta dump fleener. He cost me the game with his goose egg and he's going to blocking from here on out IMHO.

0-3 and had to make some moves after my awesome te-te draft start from the 12th spot snake, semi competitive work league. sent graham, bensen, leshoure, and andre brown away for rodgers and aj greene. pretty much lost all my bench depth but have a solid starting crew of rodgers, doug martin, ryan matthews, greene, wayne, gronk, and either maclin/alfred morris in the flex. think it'll pay off?

Any other year, yes. But this year is just weird. Rgrs isn't rgrs. But I think its a good start. Plus now u can grab off the waivers and hope to get a stud.

Freaking Rodgers. Back to back weeks of ~11 points. Maybe since he's losing now he'll pick it up and have to play through week 17 at least

the schedule of defenses gets much better after that first 3 week gauntlet. course, the question looms if he'll still be standing by week 17 after the sacks he took earlier.

Look at Culter. Rodgers will be standing.

After being utterly clamped down by the 49ers Bears and Seahawks 3 weeks in a row, Rodgers is going to open the flood gates on the Saints this weekend

Sit or Start:

Newton vs. Atlanta
- or -
Flacco vs. Cleveland

- and Pick 2 -

Dez Bryant (vs. Chi) , Eric Decker (vs. Oak), Demaryus Thomas (vs. Oak), Anquan Boldin (vs. Cle)

And here's an interesting side note about my league:

Heath Miller, Martellus Bennett, and Dennis Pitta are all available on waivers.

Yeah, I picked up Heath Miller on FA today after grabbing Andrew Hawkins on waiver. Looking pretty damn good.

Flacco, Bryant, Thomas, pick up Pitta/Bennett - I like Bennett more but you can get double points with along w/Flacco

Mine: start Leshoure vs Vikings or Finley vs NO?

i say leshoure. but i have an unhealthy desire to start as many rb's as i can. if this is a flex, i'd rather go with a rb with consistent touches thinking the scoring is more consistent.

I'm in an NFL.com league with some random people just for fun. It has IDP and I thought it'd be a good way to just play around with that since I've never done IDP before.

I noticed while scouting waivers that the two highest scoring available WRs were Josh Cribbs and Darius Reynaud. That's weird, I've never heard of them (well I've heard of Reynaud, he used to play for the Vikings). Turns out this league has points for return yards. I think most people didn't even realize that.

Then I noticed that not only do individual players get points for return yards, but team D/STs do too! Making the Browns and the Titans the two highest scoring defenses by a large margin. Both teams suck and give up tons of touchdowns and field goals, meaning other teams are kicking off to them constantly. And a kickoff return is basically a free 20-25 yards assuming it's not a touchback.

Like I said, apparently no one else noticed this so I took the opportunity to drop some of my players that were already on the bubble and picked up some solid kick return guys, and while I was at it I dropped (yes, dropped) the Texans D/ST and picked up Cleveland and Tennessee. There's a limit to how many points a defense can lose by giving up points, but no limit to how many points they can get back by returning kickoffs. Also, I personally find it interesting doing research on stuff most people don't think about, like how often opposing teams kick off and touchback rates.

Random leagues are weird. They can be fun, but I think it would be more fun if I were in a league with people I knew and everyone was fully briefed on the rules and scoring ahead of time. I'd love to take part in a league with all sorts of weird stuff, PPR, IDP, points for return yards, punters, head coaches, etc. But if everyone went into it with the same preparation that would be a lot more fair.

As much as I'd like to grab all three of those TE's, I already have Gonzalez and Pettigrew on my team. I suppose Bennett would be an upgrade over Pettigrew...

My teams so far. Thoughts? My take:
Keeper League: Ugh I have no WRs and Romo's been sucking it. I'm putting in Dalton this week since he's going against a softer defense and has good connection with Green.

Auction: I'm rocking it so far. I made some risky gambles on some injured players and it's been paying off SO FAR. Only downside here is that I have zero RB depth in the bench. If one of my boys gets hurt, I'm in big trouble.

Free: Too bad this is free. I think i'm rocking it so far. The only reason i'm 1-2 is because I made the mistake of playing Gerhart instead of Peterson in Week 1 and still lost by only 0.6 points. I have AWESOME RB Depth, and very solid WR depth. Only downside? No backup QB.

Keeper: 1-2
QB: Andy Dalton, Tony Romo (Bench)
RB: Trent Richardson, Ryan Mathews, Adrian Peterson
WR: Jordy Nelson, Percy Harvin, Leonard Hankerson, Donnie Avery, Garcon (Bench), Heyward-Bey (Bench)
TE: Jacob Tamme
D/ST: Ravens

Auction: 3-0
QB: Drew Brees, Roethlisberger (Bench)
RB: Trent Richardson, Marshawn Lynch, Darren McFadden
WR: Miles Austin, Percy Harvin, Steven Johnson, Santonio Holmes (Bench), Nate Burleson (Bench), Ramses Barden (Bench)
TE: Brent Celek, J Finley (Bench)
D/ST: Seahawks

Free: 1-2
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Michael Bush, Adrian Peterson, MJD, Pierre Thomas (Bench), C.J. Spiller (Bench)
WR: Dez Bryant, Demaryius Thomas, Malcolm Floyd, James Jones (Bench), Hankerson (Bench)
TE: Brent Celek

I'd start any offensive player against that turrible Saints defense, even Dropmichael Finley.

Lions aren't a heavy running team, although they might run a bit more if Stafford is out. The Vikings have an above average run defense. Nowhere near as tough as they used to be but still decent - they're #12 in rushing yards allowed and #7 in yards per carry allowed.

Pick 2:

Mikel LeShoure vs. Min
Adrian Peterson vs. Det
Doug Martin vs. Wash

I'm thinking LeShoure and Peterson at this point This is a PPR league.

Yeah I'm the same way.. even though it's a .5PPR league. I'm also starting Lynch and Mcfadden.. Bradshaw on my bench. Green Bay has so many weapons.. GB WRs are inconsistent, fantasy-wise.. Jennings, Nelson, Jones, Finley, Cobb.. I think Leshoure is guaranteed at least 20 touches vs the Vikings. Prob start Leshoure over Finley. Thanks all!

Yeah Peterson is automatic start every week. LeShoure had 3 reception last week in his 1st ever NFL game and I guess you'd figure that with the Lions being a pass first offense.. Vikings will definitely be focused on stopping the pass on top of doubling Megatron consistently so Stafford might have to check down more.

The Redskins run D has been pretty good even without Orakpo and Carriker, unlike their secondary which is god awful. Skins D overall can't stop anyone - I expect a lot of points and yards by the Bucs. I guess you can't go wrong with either Martin or Leshoure. heh

So I have a weird ff week this coming week. My WR has been my weak spot and with Reggie Wayne on a buy this week I have to sit him. Also my number 2 running back Fred Jackson is hurt so I have to play a WR in Flex as well.

Here's my choices:

Kenny Britt Ten
Nate Washington Ten
Dwayne Bowe KC
Doug Baldwin Sea
Randy Moss

This position has been hurting me each week with Britt not producing yet. Honestly I don't have a lot of choices so I'm thining of starting Britt, Washigont and Bowe. I know Britt and Washington together will hurt but I don't know if I have much of a choice.
