Yahoo has McFadden at #6, Brees at #9, Forte #10 and Cam at #18

ESPN has Brees at #8, Forte at #17, Cam at #23 and Mcfadden at #28

That's nice, but I typically don't really care about preseason rankings. They often overlook how often a player is injured or the dynamics of a teams change in the off season. You should have noticed since last year that I don't really go on the same wave length as most people here.

no offense, but I will take their word over yours....

and you should tone down your attitude here...no reason to call other people stupid just because they don't think like you do...you can disagree or question their intent, but name calling doesn't benefit anyone....

I don't think it's a terrible team but your big weakness is at RB. You do have some players that have high upside at that position but they could just as easily go the other way.

Why don't you let a mod do that job and you can back off? Just throw me on ignore. I didn't call anyone directly stupid, it was placed in a questionable form because of the persons team.

If you don't like what I say, put me on ignore - but don't try to act like a moderator and tell me what I should and shouldn't post.

Thanks. :whiste:

those are the exact things that are taken into consideration

My draft is tonight. I'm probably just gonna let yahoo mostly autopick for me.

I'm picking 9th in a 12-team PPR league. Any tips on who to bump up/down on the yahoo list?

Why bother if you are gonna auto-pick? A good drafter reacts to whats happening in the draft and adjusts accordingly.

Heh I said this last season. I think a lot of hardcore FF managers don't like to admit that it's mostly luck controlling the fate of the team, especially with the draft. A lot of it comes down to luck with sleepers and avoiding injuries, neither of which can really be controlled. Sure you can make decisions based on certain known factors (such as past performance, age, injury history o-line etc.) but pretty much any player can buck the trend and have a boom/bust season. I could probably name a BUNCH of so-called "studs" that crapped out from one season to the next.

The worse part about fantasy football is the head to head, pure dumb luck nature. I'm very good at picking very balanced, deep teams that put up consistent point. I'm a perennial top 3 in my 10 year old league that scores on overall season points scored. We don't do head to head so you don't get screwed in weekly matchups when somebody goes insane and scores 50 points higher than anyone else that week. Plus when playoffs start and teams starting resting starters you don't get screwed from that.

In my head to head leafues I usually score some of the highest season team scores but have the shittiest luck of having the most scored against me.

Bleh.

Yeah points per season seems the most logical/fair but I think it also takes away from the week to week excitement. With that said, there's nothing to STOP leagues from doing both. Teams compete on a head-to-head basis but the team with the most points end of the season gets some cash too. Soothes the pain a little bit Also, the toilet bowl... gotta love the toilet bowl.

10 player league here's my draft team:

QB: Brees
WR: Julio Jones
WR: Jeremy Maclin
WR: Eric Decker
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Ryan Matthews
Flex: Fred Jackson
Flex: Darren Sproles
Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski
Bench: Fred Davis
Bench: Kevin Smith
Bench: C.J. Spiller
Bench: Robert Meachem
Bench: Alshon Jeffery

The league I play in has three wideouts and two flex spots that can have either running backs, wideouts or tightends. I tend to play four running backs with this setup and use the rest when injuries come in. Smith will probably be in for Ryan Matthews at least for the first week. Matthews would be great if he could find a single season to stay healthy...

How'd I do?

I'm drafting with the 7th pick... in a 16 person league. I'm guessing I'll have my pick between Brees or Calvin Johnson, although I'm wondering if maybe I should reach for a running back since RB depth is so poor and I won't pick again until like 25.
Lineup is
1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
1 WR/TE flex

Pickings will be pretty slim, so if anyone's got any thoughts on sleepers as I go into pick 150 or so, let me know. Guys I'm sort of high on that a lot of people aren't are Reggie Bush, Michael Crabtree, Mikel LeShoure. And with the WR/TE flex position, TEs will definitely have more value.

Cause the autopick usually does pretty well...

so much of the fun is trying to pick who you like more than others, especially with some surprising sleepers (and flex your football smarts when you turn out to be right!) Also, draft night trash talk is so key.

I set autopick to grab a beer and do some stuff for my wife and it picked Mike Wallace. Lame.

Picked 9th in a 12 team PPR league.

QB Drew Brees
WR Greg Jennings
WR Mike Wallace
RB Ryan Matthews
RB Beanie Wells
TE Jermichael Finley
W/R/T Antonio Brown
K Sebastian Janikowski
DEF Baltimore Ravens

BN Rashard Mendenhall
BN Greg Little
BN Pierre Thomas
BN Devin Hester

Here's hoping for some injuries!

Allright. My Keeper league results. This is the one where I traded #1 overall for another guy's round 1, 2 and 4 picks. Rate Away!
QB: Romo
RB: Adrian Peterson
RB: Trent Richardson
RB: Ryan Mathews
WR: Jordy Nelson
WR: Percy Harvin
WR: Pierre Garcon
WR/TE: Darius-Heyward Bey
TE: Jacob Tamme
D/ST: Ravens
Kicker: Sebastian Janikowski

BE: Toby Gerhart
BE: Kenndall Wright
BE: Andy Dalton
BE: Leonard Hankerson
BE: Shane Vereen

My thoughts... this is an extremely high risk/high reward team. I have solid RB's but the WR's can go either way. The bench I picked mostly on sleeper potential (plus the obvious handcuff) but it's definitely my weakest point.

Quick question, in my league my 2 running backs are MJD and Adrian Peterson, on the bench are Benjarvus Green-Ellis and Ben Tate. I may be heading for a worst case scenario in week 1 where MJD does not play and AP is limited, I will probably just chalk this up to a loss but would like to make an attempt to win. I knew this was the risk in my draft so no big surprises here.

Obviously I will start Lawfirm in this scenario but should I pick up a RB off of waivers in exchange for Ben Tate? There are not really good options here: Toby Gerheart, Legarette Blount, Felix Jones and James Starks are all that really remain. I could juggle with the Washinton running backs (Tim Hightower, Evan Royster) but who knows what that situation will be.

Suggestions?
