This is my team from my money league I do with friends. It's a 12 team league with auction style draft. I think I did pretty darn good as long as Peterson and Charles are healthy after their knee injuries last year. I am trying to work some trades where I trade some of my bench players to add some WR depth. Let me know what you guys think...

I really like the running back depth, very solid with Peyton Hillis. You are a little light on WR depth but I am high on Dwayne Bowe. I never bother to pick up backup D/ST, to each their own though.

Do passing touchdowns count for 6 points in your league? That is a ton of points for Tom Brady, the league must be very QB heavy. This is an easy playoff team, one of the best ones I have seen.

3 Qbs? Not sure what your strategy is there, Ryan Fitzpatrick was kind of a wasted pick if you plan on Vick being the backup. In a 10 team league there should be plenty of QBs to pick up on the waiver. And Vick being a backup is kind of overkill. Unless its a 2 QB league you need to put your faith in either Manning or Vick and then draft a decent backup, hurts the depth at other positions.

McCoy will obviously and frank is a decent number 2.

Like your first 3 WR picks, Robinson and Manningham are real shots in the dark though. Blackmon has much more upside than Robinson.

With Jimmy Graham why pick up a backup TE? Should be super easy to pick up a TE off waivers in a 10 team league on a by week. Might as well take a shot at a RB/WR with potential upside.

And you have 2 of the better D/ST in the league, not much to say there.

What type of league is it?

I've occasionally grabbed a second big QB if people are too busy grabbing running backs. Only worth it if it is one of the top QBs, you can then trade him for one of those running backs if you had a really bad spot in the draft!

I like this team, but Vick should be your starter and manning your backup. Vick has too much upside to sit him when he's healthy. Drop Fitzpatrick and Cook and pick up 2 RB's off the waiver wire. McCoy is great, Gore is ok, but your backups are brutal. Hopefully one of the RB's you get off the wire will be able to contribute.

this team is loaded with talent, esp RB, christ

issue: Charles + Hillis + Bowe? You're almost vulturing your own team. Also bye weeks will be ugly (Brady + Lloyd)

In our league, any type of TD is 6pts. We tweaked the points system last year to test it out and everyone decided to bring back the same point system again this year.

I'm pretty excited about my RBs this year, but I definitely need to pick up a couple WRs for my bench and bye weeks. Should I drop my NY Def and pickup a WR sometime in the first couple weeks off of waivers/fa? Or should I keep NY and try to work a couple trades with the players currently on my bench?

RB Darren Sproles
TE Rob Gronkowski
W/R/T Vincent Jackson

Here is my team in a 10 team standard scoring league, I think it looks very good, and MJD coming back is the icing on top. 7th pick. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Chris Johnson, MJD, Doug Martin, Law Firm, Willis McGahee
WR: Victor Cruz, Mike Wallace, Hakeem Nicks, Brandon Lloyd, Kenny Brit, Nate Washington
TE: Antonio Gates
D/ST: Seattle
K: Rob Bironas

I see a pretty easy ticket into the playoffs. I guess they had a couple new people in the league cause people were taking kickers and D/ST early along with some pretty odd picks in the early rounds. Solid RB depth with Doug Martin (got him for a steal!) and so much potential upside with Kenny Brit and Nate Washington.

EDIT:
And I just scored Willis McGahee off of waivers, dropped Ridley for him

I love the Sproles pickup, will be great in a ppr league. Solid at TE & QB, decent at RB with sproles and bradshaw. Not sure if you needed Rivers as a backup QB, kind of overkill with Brees as your number 1.

As a favor to my wife, who's friend wanted to do a FF league this year, I joined a casual F&F league that did a full autopick draft. Set and forget league for the most part. This is what I ended up with:

1. (1) Ray Rice RB
2. (16) Cam Newton QB
3. (17) Victor Cruz WR
4. (32) Dez Bryant WR
5. (33) Demaryius Thomas WR
6. (48) Eric Decker WR
7. (49) Doug Martin RB
8. (64) Brandon Pettigrew TE
9. (65) San Francisco DEF
10. (80) Matt Prater K
11. (81) Reggie Wayne WR
12. (96) Justin Blackmon WR
13. (97) Anquan Boldin WR
14. (112) Rashad Jennings RB
15. (113) Tony Gonzalez TE
16. (128) Jake Locker QB
17. (129) New York DEF

I preranked, it looks like I got most of the players I ranked except TE's. Only "top" WR I got off my list was Cruz (didn't get Green, Johnson or Fitzgerald, but this is a PPR league so this might work). RB's are "kinda" weak, I'm a little disappointed. But there's enough on waivers that I could definitely do some damage if needed.

My biggest question, why the hell did it pick Locker over Schaub or Dalton (who are still on the FA list)? /headscratcher

For a 10 team league your are desperately thin at RB. REALLY thin. That's more like a 12 leage spread. Somebody is sitting on a lot of RB depth in your league.

I just got out of my keeper league draft...
I had 6th pick out 10. I kept Cam Newton, Cruz, and Calvin Johnson. We get to keep 3 players a year, for one year. So it adds some interesting dymanics to your picks thinking about next year.

Here's what I ended up with:
1.(4)Cam Newton (Car - QB)
2.(17)Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
3.(24)Victor Cruz (NYG - WR)
4.(37)Fred Jackson(Buf - RB)
5.(44)Doug Martin(TB - RB)
6.(57)Aaron Hernandez(NE - TE)
7.(64)Peyton Hillis(KC - RB)
8.(77)Reggie Wayne(Ind - WR)
9.(84)DeAngelo Williams(Car - RB)
10.(97)Seattle(Sea - DEF)
11.(104)Michael Crabtree(SF - WR)
12.(117)Sidney Rice (Sea - WR)
13.(124)Russell Wilson(Sea - QB)
14.(137)Greg Olsen(Car - TE)
15.(144)Danny Amendola(StL - WR)
16.(157)David Akers(SF - K)
17.(164)New England(NE - DEF)
18.(177)Braylon Edwards(Sea - WR)
19.(184)Alex Green(GB - RB)

We play 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1DEF, 1PK. Normal scoring. I'm thinking Doug Martin, Hernandez and maybe Russell Wilson as my keepers for next year.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I wasted a pick on Rivers (I let my personal fan feelings persuade me: I'm a Chargers fan) but that was in round 7 when most of the elite RBs were taken. I waited too long - until round 4 - to take a running back. I'll probably make a trade after Week 1.

The scoring settings in my league are a bit different, though, than the standard league. It's PPR but also has some other tweaked scoring:

Last year (same league with same settings) that made Darren Sproles the running back with the 5th most points for the season. 5 of the top 10 players overall, though, were QBs, so I figured I would target someone like Brees who I took in Round 1 (6th pick). I made the mistake of taking Gronkowski in Round 2 when ideally I should have went after someone like Jamaal Charles or DeMarco Murray.

If Gronkowski and Kevin Smith do well week 1, I might shop them to get an RB more along the lines of Charles or Murray who were available that round. Gerhart may also play a bigger role this season with AP seeing more bench time, so who knows, I may get lucky with that later round pickup as well. He's a decent receiver out of the backfield - that should benefit me a bit with PPR.

Wayne seems like the smartest play to me. But I wouldn't feel bad about playing Decker either. Wayne is just the safe bet...unrivaled WR1 on a team with a young QB looking to his safey net. I think Wayne is going to have a very low WR1/upper WR2 season at a WR3 price. His draft position fell off a cliff.

I received a trade offer, give up Wes Welker for Willis McGahee. Its not a fair trade, but let me know what counteroffer you guys think I should make, I'm a bit weak at RB:

Team A (mine)
Drew Brees, Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, Stevie Johnson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Ben Tate, Jimmy Graham, Vincent Jackson. Bench: C.J. Spiller, Philip Rivers, Demaryius Thomas, Blount, Owen Daniels, Mike Tolbert.

Team B(his)
Matthew Stafford, Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, Dwayne Bowe, LeSean McCoy, Reggie Bush, Antonio Gates, Toby Gerhart. Bench: Willis McGahee, AP, Brandon Pettigrew, Sidney Rice, Cedric Benson, Matt Schaub.

Didnt include K and D/ST. It is an 8 team PPR league.

Welker for McCoy should work. If he doesn't like it, tell him to screw off.

He won't give up Mccoy, nor should he. You can ask for AP if you think it's worth it. I think that would help your team even though you might be giving up a bit more value. I'm not a big fan of welker this year though
