I get to draft tonight. I'm #4 in a non-PPR 12 team league. They're currently voting on whether to do it offline or online. God I'm hoping we do it online. It takes about double the time to do it offline because they don't enforce a time limit per pick (it's a "rough" 2 minutes) and the dozens of "Is X player already taken?" or "Who did they just take?" call outs can be avoided.

Not sure which 2 RB's to start..

Was going to have these two in:

Michael Turner
Willis Mcgahee

But now after reading im thinking these two:

Kevin Smith (claims he feels fine and he's basically lions only rb to go to)
Donald Brown (risky aswell but people are claiming he's the sleeper of the draft so i might wait and see for him)

Sorta same boat, have Kevin Smith and Donald Brown on my bench, with Adrian Peterson and Doug Martin as my starters. I have Martin penciled in as a starter, but am unsure who I should start at the #2?

Smith has decent hands, but the Lions will always be a pass-first offense, with dumps to the TE if Stafford scrambles.

Donald Brown is going to play w/ a rookie QB, mediocre to terrible line and a decent receiving corps.

Hard decision, but I'd go with Brown - heck, I'm really considering starting him over Gore at the moment.

Anybody want to rate my team with the position and scoring as follows:

QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,WR,TE,FLEX(QB/RB/WR/TE),K,DEF
standard scoring but also including +1 for completions, -1 inc, +1 receptions

QB-Drew Brees
RB-Jamaal Charles
RB-Stephen Jackson
WR-AJ Green
WR-Marques Colston
WR-Jeremy Maclin
TE-Tony Gonzalez
FLEX-Eli Manning
BN-Green-Ellis, Britt, S. Rice, Helu, R. Jennings, Amendola

I picked 3rd and since QBs were a premium and Brady/Rodgers were the 1/2 pick, I figured I had to select Brees.

slayer: No, 12 team. I think we had some questionable picks in our group. LOL. Like Peyton going in the first round and someone picking Pittsburgh D in the 9th round. /facepalm

I really don't like many of the teams in league #1 - I think all of us are all over the place. Quite a few players going higher than their estimated values!

Anyone else besides slayer (I know he hates my team ) have an opinion on my team?

I like your team, though you have two of the lowest pass-catching RBs as your starters for a PPR league. I like Torrey Smith, but 7 was a buck or so too high for me.

I was stretching it for WRs when T. Smith came up - I really should have bid higher for some of the better WRs in the league but oh well.

As for my RBs - I'll just need to pray that I can make a trade or two, or my prospect works out.

Funnily enough I think I actually like Donald Brown more than you seem to and he's on your team!

I like Tom Brady a lot, especially if Lloyd pans out as a viable deep threat. As far as the RB's go, pretty middle of the road but serviceable. The WR's you have starting are meh, especially with Smith being injured. Fortunately, having Torrey Smith and Justin Blackmon on your bench and for $7 a piece isn't to shabby at all. Murray should be a good flex guy as long as he stays healthy and Gonzalez is ok at TE, it's just a question of how much he has left in the tank. Your D is good, K is ok, and your bench is ok, but nothing special other than the WR's.

16 team leagues are ludicrous. At that point your distribution of skill players will be about the same as any normal football team (i.e. one or two studs at MOST and the rest mediocre players).

I'm in a 16 team league .5PPR.. thoughts?
QB Rivers
RB Lynch
RB McFadden
WR Demaryous Thomas
WR/TE Jermichael Finley
WR/RB Bradshaw
K Hanson
DEF GB
Bench: Titus Young, Kendall Wright, Tony Gonzalez, Jake Locker, Ronnie Hillman

Some teams have 2nd string RBs starting.. LOL

You look good at WR for sure, not so much at RB. LeSean and Gore will have to carry you, or someone will have to get hurt.

Though I don't like what you said about the south in a comment yesterday I do like your draft

Good QB selection, maybe be a little overkill to have Rivers as a backup but solid. Very good RB and WR depth, I am not as high on Percy Harvin as some people though.

Man that is solid, what size league?

Rivers fell in my lap somehow and I decided I needed to take him. It's definitely overkill but my team is just too deep, I have trade bait at QB, RB and WR. 10 team league

I was mostly joking about the comment in the hurricane thread. Mostly

BTW, if you think that team is deep, look at this one:

QB: Aaron Rodgers, Ben RapeLessBurger
RB: Matt Forte, Darren McFadden, Adrian Peterson, Fred Jackson, Reggie Bush, Law Firm, Doug Martin
WR: Hakeem Nicks, Jordy Nelson, Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown
TE: Antonio Gates
DST: Jets
K: Matt Prater

This is a 6 team league though, that the best of us (friends) are doing for fun, and all of our teams look this rediculous

You have to have won the league or been the runner up to participate in this one. Its stupid and pointless, but fun

Tate is viable as a RB2 in a pinch as well I think. Foster and him split the workload 60/40 last year and he put up good numbers for it. But if a couple of the late round WR picks work out then I can potentially trade to someone if necessary.

Roy Helu's value just went up considerably

Brandon Lloyd's a little as well, I think

Skins traded Anthony Armstrong for Steve Slaton.. some potential there I guess, especially after rumors of Royster being cut.

This is my team from my money league I do with friends. It's a 12 team league with auction style draft. I think I did pretty darn good as long as Peterson and Charles are healthy after their knee injuries last year. I am trying to work some trades where I trade some of my bench players to add some WR depth. Let me know what you guys think...
