this just dawned on me.

There is no point to hold on to 2QB in a 10 team league.

I have Eli and Luck. I figure i can drop Luck. Because players like Freeman, pounder, fitzpat. are out there along with randoms like weeden, wilson. I can use that slot for another sleeper... I started Luck for the first time last week and he has the worst game so far. Or should i hold on to luck

Big game advice needed this week. This week determines if I stay in 1st place in my division or get kicked down to 2nd or even 3rd. Marshawn Lynch vs SF or Miles Austin vs Carolina in FLEX?

My gut says Austin but we've seen Bradshaw gash the Niners and he's not as good as Lynch.

There aren't a whole lot of situations where you really need to keep Luck. He's an inconsistent rookie and you're not starting him until week 11 (Eli's bye). You can't count on him scoring more or less than whatever waiver pickups are available then. Luck isn't worth enough to be worth holding onto.

Only situation I can imagine him being worth keeping is if everyone hoards QBs and you're stuck playing, like, John Skelton or Brady Quinn that week. Also depends on what players are available in free agency. If there's anyone decent worth picking up, like Felix Jones, I'd probably drop Luck.

At this point, I'm just putting my bye's and injured players in. 1-5, and I'm out bid on Felix Jones by $3.

that was me sorry about that, can't be stingy with that FAAB moniess

Stingy? I'm in last place ... and if I had spent almost half of my remaining FAAB and I get another injury, I'm fucked. Screw off.

i'd pick powell over green. the rams have formed a pretty good defensive line this season.

Vikes are better at stopping the run. I'd probably go Green over Powell and Woodhead to be honest.

forgot powell was running against the vikings. yeah. i'd go with green and jones.

woodhead is always a gamble.

Yeah this is what I was leaning towards. Woodhead doesnt have any breakout games.. just stays around 5 points. Powell doesnt have much history and the vikings aren't going to help that.

Thanks for the advice.

Flex spot, what say you?

Fred Jackson vs TEN
Steve Smith vs DAL
Mike Williams vs NO

I think I'd have to go with Fred. That Saints defense is god awful, so it's hard to turn down Williams, but to me Jackson is the safer bet.

Really? Last week was Jackson's only good game of the year so far. He's guaranteed to be splitting time with Spiller who did far better with his carries. Meanwhile, Williams has only had 1 "bad" game (vs. DAL, the #1 pass D) and put up respectable numbers in the rest.

I just don't trust the big plays from Williams and even with the split carries, I think Jackson still gets double-digit touches and I think he's finally fully healthy with the brace off and will do great against the 5th worst D in the league. Williams gets about 4 receptions per game and has been making big plays off it, and it very well could be that he does it again against the 'aints, but I just don't really trust the guy.

If it was my team I'd start Jackson.

Awesome. Ben Roethlisberger rolled his ankle in practice today. He's still expecting to play this week, but Mr. Ankles does it again.

So I ask again - Ben, Newton or Flacco this week?

He's only had two games where he got any significant action. Week 1 obviously he got hurt, only had 6 rushes. Week 4 he came back and had 79 total yards on 16 touches, then a horrible game against the 49ers where the Bills gave up on running very early, and then last week where he had 83 total yards and a TD on 21 touches. The fact that he's been effective at all despite having a roughly 50/50 split of the backfield with Spiller says something about him.

Mike Williams vs. Fred Jackson in the flex, to me, comes down to the philosophy that many people have that RBs are preferable to WRs in the flex in standard scoring. They both have good matchups. I guess Williams has a higher ceiling but also a lower floor, while Jackson will probably reliably get you 8-14 fantasy points. If you're projected to lose this week, maybe start Williams; if you're feeling good about your team's chances, start Jackson.

Trade proposed in my league:

Antonio Brown & Julio Jones for Boldin.

Guy getting Jones is first place, guy getting Boldin is last. Could be a matter of last place guy just liking Boldin for some reason.

They are a father (first place) and his 10 or 12 year old son (last place) but it looks a little fishy to me as this would help dad and hurt the kid.

Should I vote against it? I'm inclined to not bother since it's only a fun league and it happens to be my brother-in-laws brother, don't want to piss anyone off.

That is totally block worthy and reeks of collusion. That is a terrible trade. Of course, I'd never play in a "for fun only" league so it's not like anything really matters if it goes through. There's no $$ on the line from it.

Agreed, decline that shit. Collusion.
