I'd lean towards SF.. theoretically, the score should be low.

I'd think there has to be somebody better than SF. That's a pretty tough matchup and Seattle has scored 50+ in their past 2 games. Granted it was against horrible teams but the potential is there. However their game in October was 6-13 so ya, it could be low.

I'd probably find someone who was playing the Jets, Cards, KC, or Jags.

That's interesting. What's your reasoning for doing that?

The ball will definitely go to Amendola. It won't necessarily go to White, who's battling a knee thing.

Also the Rams are up against the Bucs, who have the worst pass defense in the league, both in total yards and in fantasy points given to opposing WRs.

Now, Julio Jones right across the field came back from an ankle injury a month ago and did well. I didn't trust him because the week he got hurt, he came back in the game and did nothing before leaving again. Thought he might have been rushing back. He must not have because the very next week after being hurt he had 147 yards and a touchdown. Put up 20 points on my bench.

Point is you really never know with injuries whether a player is rushing back or if they're ready to play. And it can vary from week to week... maybe a guy comes back and comes right back to form (like Julio) or maybe he struggles and clearly wasn't ready (like Roddy last week).

Amendola is only an elite WR in PPR; in standard leagues he's more of a WR3.

Now in my situation the hardest choice is which DST to field in the one league where I'm in a championship. I picked up several, both to keep them away from my opponent and just to give myself more options. I have:

Seattle (vs. San Francisco)
Indianapolis (@ Kansas City)
Carolina (vs. Oakland)

Seattle has been outstanding the past couple weeks but that may be because they played the Cardinals and the Bills. Against a competent offense, and with potentially both starting corners out, I'm a bit nervous.

Then again, I could have gotten burned had I played the Detroit defense against the Cardinals last week (I played the Seahawks anyway). So I'm a bit nervous about starting a mediocre defense with a good matchup instead of a good defense with a bad matchup.

I picked up indy. KC is just so remarkably bad. Most of my defenses this year has been "whoever is playing KC", it's worked out quite well.

Indy did pretty well to contain Foster and Schaub last week for much of the game.

Oh yeah, I just remembered the Chiefs might be starting Ricky Stanzi as well. That's probably good news for the Colts defense. I might start them. Too afraid of Kaepernick going crazy on the Seahawks, even though it's in Seattle.

Ok, in a PPR league I guess it makes more sense. I was looking at that from a standard scoring pov.

As for Julio, I love that dude. I've started him every week this season. One or two weeks sucked, but he's been my workhorse. Besides the Bears, Julio's the only player left on my team from draft day. Personally, I wish White would just go away, he eats into my boys targets too much, haha!

It's funny, for the first 7 weeks of the season, Roddy and Julio were alternating good fantasy days every other week. Julio was getting a touchdown in every road game, and Roddy was only catching them at home. Julio didn't get a home touchdown until last week and Roddy didn't get one on the road until two weeks ago.

One thing though, it doesn't always help one WR if another WR on his team comes out of a game. They can just double up on the last guy standing. Kind of the opposite of RBs, where when one guy goes down, the next guy up will get a lot more work.

No way I would go near the Colts defence. No Chargers or Jets D out there?

True. Maybe I should wish for White to be replaced with a lesser WR vs. Julio being out there by himself.

I could get the Chargers. Bad as the Jets are, though, I don't trust the Chargers at all either. And with McElroy starting instead of Mark "The Human Turnover" Sanchez, they aren't guaranteed 3+ interceptions. The Jets will probably just hand it off a million times.

Here is our finals match-up in the main ATOT league:

I assume Dutch will replace Big Ben with Bob 3 who is on his bench, at which point, I will likely get crushed. A real shame Gronk had to get hurt as I would like my chances a lot more if he was playing at full strength.

the chargers have a reliable fantasy defense, especially vs the jets.

What do you guys think of my lineup? Should I make any changes? I'm the guy on the left with Colin Kaepernick.

I know some people recommended that they would start another Def other than Houston but does anyone here know the match-ups like the back of their hand? As in, does Houston have any missing starting corners or does SD have any injured starting defensive ends? The reason I have opted to put Houston up there right now is because I am basing my lineup on a ranking's chart that has the highest Def accuracy for the year.

I probably wouldn't change much. I was going to advise caution starting a defense against a run-heavy team, but that's the same case with San Diego's defense against the Jets as well. Both the Jets and the Vikings are going to run it a lot because, quite simply, they have bad quarterbacks and bad receivers. Less passing means fewer opportunities for sacks and interceptions, but with bad QBs there's still a good chance.

I think Adrian Peterson will have his sights set on the rushing record and it won't matter what the defense throws at him. That won't necessarily translate to a ton of points though. There's no penalty for a fantasy defense allowing a lot of rushing yards, at least not in standard scoring.

And while the Texans' pass defense has been bad lately, I don't think they face much of a challenge from the Vikings' passing game.

With McCoy back, both Brown and McCoy are far from locks so thinking Morris and Gore

WR is tricky. Want to go with Colston and Lloyd but Amendola and Hilton may be good too!

Which def? SD or Colts?
