Who picks Amendola over Garcon?? LOL

And thanks for telling me to start RG3 over Wilson I should have went with my gut. Not that it mattered.. Everyone on my bench scored big except Mike Wallace.

It's easy to say that now, amdemall. And trust me, no one is laughing harder at me than myself right now. Amendola was a viable producer at the time though. When he's healthy, which he appeared to be after last weeks performance, he can be counted on. His risk is in getting hurt during game though. I didn't start Garcon because I also had Morris and RG3 playing. So I spread some of my risk out (of the redskins having a bad game). It was a bad call to start Amendola WR2, but it was a feasible call at the time. Amendola was a gamble, but my projections going in were 130 points to my 100 ( 85 to 88 score in the end. Only because my opponent got a goose egg from Arian Foster). When Amendola is on, he can be counted on for 15 points in standard scoring. Garcon only averages 10-12 points. It was a risk I had to take.

Ahhh Yes, Arian Foster! The goose egg that worked out for me. I didn't know what the heck happened to him and I guess that the coach wanted to leave it that way so that the Vikings would have to account for him. Turns out that he has an irregular heart beat that kick started sometime during practice and so they didn't want to overwork him in case it came back.

I too got prison raped by that move...lost the championship to my nemesis...because of it!

@Astroman...what's the buy in for the playoff league? My gf and I are interested in joining.

No buy in, just for fun.

Hey, I signed up for it. Could you tell me how it works? Do we get to pick any players we want each week or is it like standard fantasy football in which only 1 person can have a particular player?

Anyone can have any player. It's salary cap style. Every player costs a certain amount of money so you can't just take the very best players, you have to pick some "sleepers" as well. You can change your lineup every week until the conference championships. Once those games start, your lineup is locked through the super bowl. So you have to decide whether you want to start only players from the teams you expect to win in the conference championships and risk having no one if they lose, or if you want to hedge your bets and have players from both teams but not a full lineup for the super bowl.

Gore cost me the championship! $%@#%@# All I needed was 5 points from him to win and all he could get was 2.8!

Placed 4th. Terrible last week for me with my team putting up the worst numbers all year.

I'd like to thank Eli for being wildly inconsistent this year. Especially that stretch of 3 games midseason where he scored < 5 points each game plus another last week. Of course, your great games usually came on weeks where I had plenty of points from other players.

Mad props to Houston D for putting up really good numbers the majority of the year. McCoy and Gore were a solid RB combo that stayed healthy most of the season (and I thankfully grabbed Brown when McCoy went down). And between VJax, Julio, and T Smith I could usually count on one to blow it up and one to put up decent numbers.

Played in four leagues, finished 1st (barring a 2.7 point scoring correction), 2nd, 3rd, and 7th. Overall a pretty good year.

Now to focus on watching my Vikes trying to make the playoffs. :awe:

Won the championship.

Thank you Jamal Charles, Matt Ryan, Indy defense. Hakeem nicks? Never drafting you ever again. On my permanent wipe it list.

And thanks for containing AP. If my opponent got what he should from him and Houston defense I woould have lost.

If anyone wants to do a fantasy playoff thing, I created a group here:

pw: bulkbeef

I made a thread but I thought maybe this would be a better place to put it.

Joined.

GG...thought you definately had me after foster and amendola did nothing for me.

Yeah, thought I had a slight chance, but wow, I did not expect the 49ers to get beaten that badly. I think second place is the best I have ever done in that league though, so I'm fine with it. ^_^

He did not cost you the game by himself as your entire team failed to score the 5 extra points needed to win the game.

So I need help with my week 17 lineup:

QB: Drew Brees
RB: Adrian Peterson, Knowshon Moreno
W/TE: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Lance Moore
K: Lawrence Tynes
D/ST: 49ers
Bench: BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Greg Jennings, Danario Alexander, Donnie Avery

I think I am pretty set at QB, RB and D/ST. I will be picking up a new kicker. Who should I put in my 2nd and 3rd WR/TE slot? I can't trust Julio Jones in week 17

sounds like a great lineup as is. i was gonna say pick up a new kicker, but, meh... he should do fine. giants are desperate for a win. they'll use him plenty, i'm sure.

I picked up Kai Forbath as my kicker, I don't want anything to do with the Giants as they screwed me over last week in another league.

You really think Julio Jones is a better start than Greg Jennings or Danario Alexander this week? I like Lance Moore but I have been lucky that he has been getting touchdowns everytime I started him. Without a touchdown he hardly puts up numbers.

wise choice

hail to the redskins

jones is going up against the worst pass defense in the league. he is good for at least 1 touchdown, if not at least 90 yards. matt ryan only has 3 people to throw to. aaron rodgers has 5. rivers has 3 as well, but the match up isn't as nice as it is for matt ryan.

i hate dez bryant and i wish i could tell you to put alexander in for bryant because the skins defense will shut his ass down, but i can't. he's too fast. he drops a lot of balls, though, too...

Deangelo Williams and Mike Tolbert might be the MVPs of my championship matchup for hawking all the touchdowns

Well I won my main league, I'm up 95-94 with Dez Bryant and Kai Forbath yet to play a half. Went from having the worst team last year to winning 10 games in a row this season and winning it all. I have never even been in the playoffs in the 5 years of playing in this league. Good times!

If you're in a league that plays in week 17, leave that league. Seriously. Fantasy football is OVER at the end of week 16.
