The Hamels Lee trade never went through, he realized his mistake. Now he is offering me Hamels for Austin Jackson or Dexter Fowler both of whom I own at $1 compared to Hamels $30.

I'm really not sure if I should take it because of the insane value I gain next year from having two $3 outfielders that overperform their value.

Thoughts? Ace pitcher for value outfield.

No way. Keep AJ and Fowler. At a buck each you wont be able to replace them with anything that doesnt kill your cap.

Oh good. I love getting confirmation that I made the right choice. I decided pitchers are too temperamental from one year to the next and that I'll still be able to grab a pitcher at that price of equal value in the auction. I got really lucky with my low buys this year and will benefit greatly for it next year. Those two for $1, Kipnis for $7, Dunn for $6, Utley for $3. I even had Chris Sale at $6 but I traded him away to grab some replacements for injuries.

Mets are playing a bit better these days but they still suck.

Where are the Orioles fans here? They've been playing some good baseball and did well against the Yanks. No excitement in Camden Yards with the team only 2 games back?

The Cincinnati Red Legs have a big lead in their division and those Oakland A's are right in the thick of things in the AL West.

Sure made those games interesting for the Yanks.

Oakland is going to make a run at Texas with that insane pitching. I love this time of year in baseball.

I agree that Oakland has to be the best story in baseball, period.

Yanks in official panic mode now. Sink or swim time with the Rays and O's surging at the right time.

Hopefully the Angels sweep the A's this week

Orioles are in first place..albeit a shared first place but O's fans gotta be pumped. PANIC IN THE BRONX!

Tampa Bay is right there as well.

Looks like the Dodgers are starting to make a push for the WC with the new blood they've added. I'm just hoping STL can hang in there. Having Jamie back and moving Kelly to the bullpin should help shore things up there. Hopefully we can get the sweep tomorrow with Wainwright on the mound, but it seems like they just can't get on a big streak this year. End of the schedule is a tough one too. Lots still up for grabs in the NL wildcard race.

Lots of really exciting/interesting series in the next week in the AL...NYY/O's, Tigers/Angels, Rangers/Rays, Rays/O's, Tigers/White Sox, A's/Angels...

I don't think my team, the World Series Champions Cards will be able to defense their title this year. Unless they can pull a miracle like they did last year (crossing fingers but not expect too much).

I am not a fan of the Rangers but if they make the playoff this year, I do hope they finally win the big one or will be brand as "Buffalo Bills" of MLB.

Dammit, you were right. A's let the hype get to their heads I guess.

O's and Yanks are tied in their respective games. Fun night, let's see who wins...

lol I was shocked when I saw that. But the Rangers are skidding hard right now. They barely mustered 2 hits in last night's game. Our offense's problem is everyone is trying to hit a home run. And our pitching just blows lately (doesn't help that we have 2 of our starters out for most of the season).

EDIT: Just noticed that the A's are playing the Angels this week!

I'm pretty much done for this year. I'll watch this series but if they don't at least go 3-1 it's over.

Cmon, man, keep a little faith! We just gotta hang onto that WC spot and weather the storm. We really need to sweep this series coming up with LA.. badly

I am trying, really. But the way they play lately, not too much. The last 10 games = 4-6. That's not how you get ready for the playoff.

But of course, they could pull a miracle like they did last year (the very last game of the very last day of the season and the total collapse of the other team), it could happen.

We definitely got an early Christmas gift from Philly last year, not doubt about that. But yeah, I've been a little concerned too. They just have not gotten on fire for any length of time all year but then again.. They waited until the very last minute to get it going last year too so.

Though it doesn't help when we can't close the close one's.. That 14 inning game with the other night when we pull the double steal to put runners on 2&3, then that rookie they put up at the plate goes down looking to bring up 2 outs, Brewers pull 6 men into the infield and we can't hit a fly ball on a hanging curve? Wow..
