I really don't understand Valverde. His entire career was fastball, forkball, and once in great while a change-up, then last year he threw fewer forkballs and this year maybe 5% of all his pitches are forkballs. So now he's fastball, fastball, fastball, fastball.

that was some sweet, sweet baseball. A's were playing bush league for 8 of those innings, lol.

Sorry to you, but anything can happen in 1 game winner-goes-on. Just ask Atlanta. I don't care if it's Verlander or Nolan Ryan or Roger Clemens or Bob Gibson. Freak shit can happen in any given game, especially against a team that plays all 27 outs hard like Oakland.

The O's, well that series has been decided by a razor thin margin every game (both of NY's wins in extras). To say NY has it on lock is just stupid because at this point, both teams are battling for every out.

Some great baseball this postseason, now if only the Nats could wake up from the Curse of Strasburg (tm). lol

TO be fair...Oakland really only played hard on about 3 outs (at the end of the 4th inning, and the 2 outs in the 9th).


But I agree--nothing is decided. Anyone who thinks otherwise must not watch baseball. Verlander will be tough, and it's a dreary, rainy type of evening unfamiliar to the A's. so....we'll see.

To the others: Oakland fans indeed do some weird shit--they all do this "standing worm dance" thingy whenever Coco comes out to his song. (watching that family stand up each time and do it in unison was great! )

and some freaky teenybopper girl song where they all punch the air with their fists and make an X. I don't get it....
