LOL. Did the cardinals just give the nationals surprise buttsex? Because that looked like rape from behind to me.
That was one of the most insane comebacks EVER!
7th NLCS since 2000. With the skilled shown in their comebacks, I wonder if this is the best team MLB's had since the turn of the century.
the announcers just said it was the largest comeback ever in a do-or-die situation. I assume that they mean 9th inning with 2 outs, not necessarily just game 5.
It was the largest comeback ever in a winner-take-all postseason game, according to STATS LLC. No other club in this sort of ultimate pressure situation had come back from more than four down
Great, another cards giants lcs whoopdee friggin do....was excited about possibly seeing a nats vs tigers or o's world series, ya know something different. I can't stand the cardinals..

Would have been awesome to see Orioles vs. Nationals World Series....seeing two teams that don't simply rely on the big payrolls to win.
In elimination games. I didn't think Storen pitched that badly but he wasn't throwing enough strikes...his slider looked good but I think he was trying to make perfect pitches and ended up walking two people....asking to get burned that way. Too bad Gio didn't shake off his playoff gitters this game either...learning experience at least for them.
Oakland A's would have been great in that mix.
Welcome to baseball, big $$$$$$ equals wins
Um - the Cardinals don't have a big payroll... That said....
GO CARDINALS!!!!! 12 in 12!!!
If it weren't for the insane comebacks last year I may have turned this off and walked away out of sheer frustration. I've never heard of anything like the Cardinals play off magic happen before.

When the Washington Nationals held firm on their promise to shut down ace Stephen Strasburg in the wake of his ongoing recovery from Tommy John surgery, it didn't sit well with fans and some teammates. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise, given that Strasburg leads the team's rotation, and not having him for the playoffs has been viewed as a huge blow to World Series opportunities that may not come around again any time soon. But Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo does, in fact, believe that the Nats will be making frequent return trips to the postseason. Basically, that's the entire reason Washington ended Strasburg's season early -- to make sure he's healthy for a long, fruitful career full of postseason starts. However, that confident attitude apparently doesn't sit well with the rest of Major League Baseball. In a story entitled "Nationals despised for sitting Strasburg," USA Today MLB writer Bob Nightengale reports that other GMs around baseball are taking offense to Rizzo's strategy. Apparently front offices everywhere view the Nationals' call as insultingly cocky, especially given that they share a division with the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves and certainly aren't guaranteed of anything in future seasons. "If we don't win the World Series, I don't care who does, as long as it's not those guys," Nightengale quotes one anonymous GM as saying. "They don't deserve to win it. Not after what they did." "I hope they go down in flames," echoed another National League GM. "I hope it takes another 79 years before they get back to the playoffs. That's how strongly I feel about it."
